This means that you have probably a Pz3 imported Poser figure or object you want to export?? You cannot unlock it. If you want to export an object from Vue, it must be 1. a Vue object or 2. an imported OBJ object. Have a look at this thread: http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12368&Form.ShowMessage=1506670

Hi! I downloaded some Objects from RENDEROSITY, so i think they are .VOB file type! Some of the downloaded files i can export as .3ds but some other Objects i cannot export because this error message is coming! What can i do?

As far as I know you cant export Vue 4 VOBs; you can only export Vue Pro VOBs. I had imported an obj object into Vue 4 I then saved it as a VOB. I was able to load VOB into Vue Pro but could not export it. To make the VOB exportable I had to bring the original obj into Vue Pro and then save it as a VOB.

I also had problem exporting as .obj file. I was able to get around it somehow when I selected all parts of the object (if it concists of several parts). Grouped it and did a right click, choosed 'Bake polygons' (or something like that). After that I was able to export it as .obj file.
I'm not sure if it is the way to do it... but worth a try. :o)
Be sure to save the original first since it becomes one object.

Hey, simply right-click onto the object (ctrl-click for Macians). Select edit object and there - tata - you can select allow export. Then it should work. I tried a Poser object from DAZ, worked like that as well. try it out!

One day your ship comes in - but you're at the airport.

Read the grey field page 112 in the Vue Pro book:-). BTW Walther, all objects doesn't show the EDIT OBJECT when you right click and many objects cannot be exported. I already said it:-) Guitta

"Maybe we should find out why some objects can't be edited Page 112 grey field:-) I cannot export the housemouse from Daz (or any other Poser figure) after I have imported her as a pz3. Only if imported as OBJ it is possible. :-)Guitta

I believe this is a feature to protect the artists copyright, not a bug.
