here is my project for the Newtek Circus Contest. I wanted to do something different, because I think that Circus mean childhood, magic, night, lights... That's why it's a night scene and at the same time it's bright and shiny. For this one I refused to use Poser (90% of the submited images to the contest are made with Poser) so...The monkey and the horse are modeled with Carrara and details (fur etc..) added in photoshop. Now I don't know wich image I should submit.. one with the city in background.. or the one without the city.. Tell me your opinion. Cheers.

the one with the city..

The top one looks like they are running away, the bottom one with the city would be good if the city were just a tad bigger...to seem more immediate. Now it seems like it's a small town they will pass by, but not go into...i guess it depends on what you want to convey.

yeah you'r right madmax.. that's why I think I will add a signpost to the city beside the road To give the information that they are going there.

Pidjy! it's your style!!! nice images, i prefer the second one just because (ad madmax said) tehy seems to go to the city, another hint (but it's just personal taste) hilight a bit more the monkey, maybe it is too dark compared to the scene. great entries btw ....and no poser decision is 100% cool!!!

I like the second one better too. Great work, and good luck!

The one with the city is the better one. Great job, hope you don't abandon us now when you get lightwave.

I prefer the first one without the city growing out of the horse. Seems clearer...maybe just the signpost?

Very charming and original style, and what's even more impressive is that you "rolled your own" horse and monkey, no Poser figures in sight! I also like number 2 the best.
