My yellow panther is a little better but still not as gold as the icon. The black panther looks like Barney the purple dinosaur. I ran the update - what has gone wrong?

Don't know what to say... on my Win machine the updated maps behave as you would expect- nice yellowish Jaguar and a non-purple black panther. Perhaps there is more than 1 update? I'd check with Doug at Zygote. He always gets things fixed up properly though it may take a try or 2.

I had the same problem. To fix, I deleted the Panthermap and Panthermap2 from inside Poser, and re-ran the new panthermap EXE The fix installs the new maps, but doesn't overwrite the Cr2 files.

Ahhh... that explains it, Wyrwulf. Before installing the new maps I renamed and edited the original cr2 files so that I could retain the black & white map and the purple one (in the unlikely event I ever want a "fantastic" panther).

Another trick with the Zygote self installers, is to change the path, and install to a folder of your choice. That way, you can look at the setup, make any changes that you want, and then install by copying or moving the folder. I have a shortcut to the top folder "Poser 4" on my desktop, that way I can drag and drop a "Runtime" folder to install.

My panther map, is fine, but listening to you lot talk about this magical panther, makes me want to find out why I havent got that one, LoL Hope you get yours fixed, If doug visits again, maybe a will read the post and let me download it? cheers, Darren

My yellow cat is the same. The Black cat is TOO BLACK. I can hardly see its eyes or teeth. It look like a big black blob.

Try setting the black panther fur material color to near black - try red 30, green 30 and blue 30. The pattern will start showing then. Maybe Zygote uses brighter monitors that most of us?
