Hi all, I was just wondering if I'm the only one that can't get the fractal gallery to come up. I can't even go to my gallery. I don't know what's going on but I'm getting frustrated! I just wanted to know if anyone else is having the same problem! Thanks...Vicky

I can't do a search, but every other action seems to be ok. (12:08PM EST) Linda

I can't get the fractal gallery to come up either. I think we need alternate ways to reach galleries, such as links on the forum headings. Tres

Fractals will always amaze me!

Oh God yes I can't get to my gallery plus I can't post comments just keeps saying no image requested or it just says page can not be found. Seems to me the other Posting sites are beginning to look better and better .. Is this what you want Rendo.. it is bad enough that this server is down more then it appears to be up yet you want to charge people for posting more then 1 image If I had to pay I'd drop you like a hot potatoe this server sucks big time we're the artists that keeps this place running if you can not afford to keep this server up and running then close it completely down. yesterday it was down almost the whole day totally unacceptible . ** Tres the only way I got into my gallery was I have a link directly to it in IE links folder may want to try that if Rendo will stay up long enough for you to do try that good luck everyone cause this kid is about ready to bail out of here..**

Yes, I am having and have been having problems with this site for over a week. The site is so slow I can't post and I can't get into the fractal gallery to view. I think I shall wait a couple weeks and revisit RenD to see if they got it together. Bye for now, Michael

Yes, I am having great problems too. Often the comments I post do not appear. Or I get a page that says there is no picture to attach the comment to. I get 'timed out' pages when trying to view large images now and then. I am on dial up, but R'osity has never been this slow ever before. I thought going to l per day posts would speed thing up. Looks like that is not the case. I have even deleted about half my gallery images hoping that would help. I am extremely frustrated. I'm now posting at 3D commune and have all my decent images at http://community.webshots.com/user/_marion70 I am about to give up on R'osity. Marion (kansas)

Can't say I don't blame any of you keep in touch Marion if you could message me with 3Dcommune's url I'd appreciate it.. I'm giving up on Rendo least until they get there act together.. How dare they even think of charging people for this kind of losey service.. who is the world cares what color the sides are it is for darn sure they ought to be spending money on this server and not on things that are not as important.. Good luck to you all who are leaving most of you have my home address if not message meand I'll give it to you.. If it totally a big shame all this is happening I'm affraid if it continues there will no longer be a Rendo. However, no one will admit it..but the writting is sure on the wall.. take care Carolyn

This is the first time in over a week that I've been able to get past SQL errors, too many connections and unable to connect to server. Yesterday I got in via a direct link, posted a message in the news forum and it was back to blank pages and bad links. Anyone who has ever worked on an IT project knows implementing too many changes at once is disaster (anything that can break will break) yet they tried to upgrade database, add new gallery functions and revise code all at once. If our IT department tried that they'd be sweeping the parking lot! Hopefully they have learned from this fiasco. It doesn't seem like revising screens for color, or touching anything for a while would be a good idea.

Yep I agree totally they really need to concentrate on the server problem alone.. first I'm sure they are trying its just their not suceeding to well at all I notice the count of members on line earlier when there is normally close to 3,000 on line it was actually down to about 977 now that is a big huge loss of artists who can't get to their gallerys let along post and make comments.

Folks, instead of assuming you know what's going on, perhaps you'd like to consider dropping in on the Forum News forum from time to time, since that's where all the announcements about scheduled site outages and progress reports on the ongoing code optimization process have appeared. That forum is also the best place to get the notice of an admin.

Yes - I've had MAJOR problems from last Tuesday till last night (Monday). While I was able to log on for quick peeks during daytime from work (8 - 5pm EST), I was unable to either log on or to stay on every night (EST) for around 6 days. Most times I got and error that said something like "SQLsess error - too many connections" or "unable to connect to server". Its been a real hassle and I've probably missed out on some really good stuff... I suppose its possible that, since Renderosity seems to be on Central time an d I'm on Eastern time, that they've been working on the site. I doubt it as the outages were ALL night and EVERY night. Sure hope they have fixed whatever was broken but still can't complain - whadda ya want fer nuthin? lol Rick

Sorry that I didn't notice this sooner, to help you out. Please feel free to pop and IM to me if you have any Rosity Site questions. I'm sure you are all aware of some of the problems the upgrades have caused. However, Knock on wood, the programmers have been working around the clock, and you should see some marked improvements in speed and the sight being more stable. So, please don't abandon ship just yet. Hang in there, I promise things will be up and running very smooth ASAP :) ladynimue moderator

bet your all are wintel users :-) laughs silently anyways, when ya have problems uploading a pic or commenting on any designs posted, just hit the back button and try again ... the only problem i have is seeing that my messages are deleted from the forum, but thats allright ... and i have a sponsor, which is me, have to adjust that once in a while too ... and in a few days it will be easier to access the gallery, for then its 14 days ago that you could upload more than 1 pic a day, and that goes for all the galleries ... i have heard that some ppl changes email addy and cant get access, but thats a matter of time also smile greetings, harmen

ladynimue ( ) posted Sat, 15 November 2003 at 11:23 AM

HI Harmen, the problems discribed above by the members, was a universal site problem caused by the upgrades to the system. Which have been addressed and resolved by the programmers :) Not sure what you are referring to as to the emails, but if you are having problems with your account be sure to drop me a note and I will pass it along to the admins :) Wishing all a fun weekend with tons of time to create and upload your Amazing Fractal artwork. ladynimue
