I've been working on this freebie for a while now, and she's finally ready for release. Basically, she's a hybrid figure, combining the head of the Millennium Cat with the body of Victoria 1-2. You'll need to own both figures before you can use her.

rcook's RTEncoder utility (here in Free Stuff) is required for installation. Mason's Morph Manager utility (also in Free Stuff) will be helpful when transferring morphs to the figure.

Morph-wise, she can use all of Victoria's body morphs from the neck down, and all of the Millennium Cat's head, ear, eye, and whisker morphs. The upper neck section is a unique geometry I crafted to bridge the gap between the two meshes, which does not accept morphs from either figure.

Texture-wise, she's compatible with all Victoria body textures and Millennium Cat head textures. I will initially provide a free body texture (shown above) that works well with the red tabby texture brokered at DAZ. Other textures are in development by me and others, and will be available shortly.

The Millennium Catwoman includes several new morphs (Smile2, BrowFrown, RBrowUp, LBrowUp, Snarl, BridgeWrinkle, Wince, Wolf, RoundPupil, IrisSmall). If you don't have Victoria or aren't interested in a catwoman figure, she might still be worth downloading, as these morphs are compatible with the Millennium Cat.

The above image showcases some of the new morphs.

I've had the honor to beta test "Mia" (the working name for LD's character), at least when my computer wasn't the shop. You can see two humble renderings using Little Dragon's fabulous creation in my gallery. Trust me, gang, you're gonna' love her! Sincerely, Bill

Thank you, Redfern, for that unsolicited testimonial. :)

Here's a closeup of the new body texture. This will be available as a separate download. It works equally well on regular Victoria figures.

I'm providing it as "open source", in a manner similar to Lyrra's Shades of Michael textures. This means you are free to modify and then redistribute the altered textures as you see fit, so long as you don't sell them.

And another closeup, from the front ....

In case anyone needs additional body textures before the next batch are finished, I can point out several free and commercial products that are already available. And a few more, if you have the Universal Texture Convertor.

Oh, bugger all ... forgot the Nudity tag in the last two images. Sorry about that.

One final closeup, in the event anyone's wondering what the feet look like. I have newfound respect for all those texture makers out there who have to struggle with seams and the like. Not that I didn't respect them before ....

A couple of older renders for variety, since they're already wasting valuable space on the server:

Message1437930.jpg

Message1412825.jpg

The first uses Daio's Felis Sapiens body texture (after conversion through the UTC). The second ... well, the second doesn't have a body texture. But that's a lovely sweater, isn't it?

Beautiful work. I love the cat "pads" on the human hands!

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Sat, 15 November 2003 at 8:44 PM

Thank you. I agonized over their inclusion for several days, and even consulted several experts for their opinions on the matter of anthropomorphic physiology. This release will only be version 1.0 of "Mia". I'll continue to improve her over the next few months (morphs, textures, etc.), and digitigrade legs will probably be a future option.

BastBlack ( ) posted Sat, 15 November 2003 at 9:05 PM

Fantastic!!!!! I love the textures!!!!! I love the morphs!!!! WAHOO!!! I was wondering where "Mia" was. ;) Methinks will be a Mill Bast Black soon. lol ;) And the wolf head..... so cutel!!! It reminds me of an Anime-ish looking wolf. Maybe there will be an Inuyasha soon too. ;) bB

mondoxjake ( ) posted Sat, 15 November 2003 at 9:12 PM

This really looks like a great texture. Good job and I for one will be watching for it. I don't want to get too far OT here, but didn't I read someplace that you was planning on releasing some updates to your great Furrette characters? Not sure where I saw this [Poser Pros?], but I have been watching for further info on this. As to your comment on forgetting 'nudity tags' on a couple of pix...I would think the tag on the thread header would be sufficienct to notify any viewer of impending eye strain...LOL.

freyfaxi ( ) posted Sat, 15 November 2003 at 9:20 PM

Mmmmmm....Verrrrrrry nice...this is one I will definately be on the look out for. One texture that I think would look really ?hot? on an anthro feline...a sealpoint siamese one ?

hauksdottir ( ) posted Sat, 15 November 2003 at 9:26 PM

Are they nude if they are covered in fur from tip to tail? If fur (and an animal nature) isn't enough, then we'll be putting goldfish in sweaters and draping tableclothes over horses in our purience. Meanwhile, I'm encouraging you to do the digitigrade legs! And yes, I agree about the foot and hand pads. Skrogg still can't get a grip on the doorknob, but without the pads, she wouldn't have a whisker of a chance. This looks just wonderful. :)= Carolly

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Sat, 15 November 2003 at 9:29 PM

Does Inuyasha turn into a wolf at some point? I haven't seen all the episodes.

MaPPer or I will provide a black texture eventually, BastBlack. I'm hoping he'll drop by soon with a preview of his calico texture.

Siamese body textures are definitely in the works. And if you don't have the MilCat textures from DAZ, Kathleen Predmore has a free Siamese texture at Cloudland Castle.

mondoxjake:

I've been juggling multiple projects lately, and also had to play host to a holiday guest around Halloween. As a result, Furrette 2.0 has been delayed. She's still in the works, however, and I hope to have something ready by Thanksgiving, or the end of the month at the latest. With this stage of Mia's development completed, I can devote more time to Furrette.

The many improvements to Furrette will include:

A new, higher-resolution mesh
Better texture mapping
More facial expressions
A shirtless torso so she can wear all manner of clothing (or none at all)
Posable eyes and ears
Transmapped fur

She'll also be the first figure to undergo my experimental digitigrade leg transplant surgery, so if it works out for her, Mia will be next.

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Sat, 15 November 2003 at 9:33 PM

Skrogg still can't get a grip on the doorknob, but without the pads, she wouldn't have a whisker of a chance. Yes, it's a difficult decision to make ... if given a choice, would you rather have retractable claws, or opposable thumbs? I'm lucky to have both.

Not sure if the first post took. This will be my contribution to Little Dragons Project. Its still in works.>>>>Note<<<<< this isn't Mia. I had to cheat and combo vicky and milcat to see how close i could get the body texture to milcat calico head.

Nalif ( ) posted Sun, 16 November 2003 at 4:24 PM

Any chance you you doing a version for V3? I don't own V2 or V1. Other than that, it looks great. The only thing that bothers me (and this has nothing to do with your modeling) is the face of the actual cat. To me, a cat woman should have slightly more human features - and I'm sure there will be morphs out there to fix this in the near future. I realize that it's just the millenium cat's head hacked onto the victoria body - so it's understandable that the cat should look.....Well, like the millenium cat. Well done! (Please do a V3 version!)

Redfern ( ) posted Sun, 16 November 2003 at 4:52 PM

file_84141.jpg

Ah, Nalif, then might I suggest Daio's "Felis Sapiens" package? Daio designed it for Victoria and Michael 3, using their pre-existing head and body morphs. Her characters have somewhat more human features, primarily more solid chins. Attached is a test image I made some time ago. Hopefully it gives you a fair presentation of the package. You can find it for less than 10 bucks at PoserPros.com. Little Dragon's aim was to purposely have a more animalistic head. Others, like yourself, want something slightly more humanoid. Yet others prefer the anime inspired "neko-chans", basically human looking girls with cat ears and tails. That's the beauty of anthropomorphic interpretations; there is no one standard design. If Little Dragon perfects his swapping geometry techniques, we'll be privvy to a much more feral looking digitgrade (read: toe walking) design. Sincerely, Bill

Nalif, I'll consider doing a V3 version in the future, but I probably won't have time until next year. I have several other projects in the wings right now. At the moment, the only Unimesh figure installed on my system is the Freak, and I only put him on to make some trousers.

Painting the textures for V3 would actually be easy, though. I actually start off with the V3 template, so I don't have as many seams to wrestle with, then convert to V2 with the UTC and touch up the results.

Creating a "human" morph for the MilCat head sounds like an intriguing idea.

Very awesome Little Dragon! Have you thought of doing similar for Koshini/Ichiro and the Toonimal cat? (I'd offer what help I could, but I'm nowhere near your level at this.)

:-) I was just going to ask you when she was coming out. I als request the digitgrade legs since I wouldn't be able to Merr'leen here with out them, as you can see, she was walk on her toes, like any felinoid. Cat people that walk like us humans are feline humanoids. Now I have to get the Milkitty :-)

Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Sun, 16 November 2003 at 11:41 PM

darken666:

No, I hadn't. There are already a number of toon anthros running around, and I wouldn't want to muscle in further on lynnJonathan's TomCat product.

I am contemplating a Millennium Dog hybrid, however.

Charlie_Tuna:

I'll have to build the new legs first, and then conduct a few tests to see if the geometry-swap/joint-pose technique will actually work in practice. Maybe in time for Christmas?

And that's a lovely picture, by the way.

Thanks for the compliment on the pic, I'll pass it along to the actual artist. she's dressed for one of those high affairs you get to go to as a member of the titled set. In that pic she would be formally intro'd as 'Lady Colonel Merr'leen Tabbon' with her honors and awards tacked on if it's a VERY formal affair. :-) More pics of here.

As a part-time betatester (I say part-time because with the Christmas Season and me working retail, I have almost no spare time anymore), I've had the pleasure of working with Mia for a while. I've been working on a new Sheuen tex but put that aside recently to whip up Sheuen's "superhero" alter ego. LD's wolf morph for Mia is just wonderful and really worked to bring this character (see link) to life. So, go check the image to see the Millenium Catwoman as a non-cat person :D

Wonderful, wonderful work Little Dragon! And for those awaiting digitigrade feet (raises hand and waves wildly), a work-around is Lemurtek's Second Nature characters with all but the legs and feet hidden and yanked-n-pulled into the pose.

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Mon, 17 November 2003 at 7:00 PM

lhiannan, any chance of making those textures available in the future, either commercially or as freebies?

lhiannan ( ) posted Mon, 17 November 2003 at 8:01 PM

I'd love to, but the Anubis texture is based off the Bast texture at Daz... I IM'd LisaB and LaurieS regarding their Siamese tex that I used to make a Siamese body for Mia and if I hear back maybe I'll see about Bast's... or maybe I'll just break down and actually do the thing from scratch.

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Tue, 18 November 2003 at 12:04 AM

Doing them from scratch is usually best. I should probably start a new thread and set up a poll to determine which texture I paint next. Mapper already has the calico covered, but that leaves ten others to match.

I've just uploaded a new body texture to Free Stuff. I'd originally intended to post it yesterday, but I experienced a setback with Paint Shop Pro and had to redo about half the work. If the Free Stuff moderator hasn't succumbed to a turkey-induced coma, it'll probably be available in a day or so.

This one matches the Millennium Cat black shorthair texture brokered at DAZ, so use that for the head if you have it. And for those of you who asked, the siamese is next in line.

I'm afraid I didn't have time to create any detailed preview renders, as I'm about to leave for the big "After-Thanksgiving" sale. Only four shopping weeks until Christmas, after all. I'll put up something when (if) I return later today.
