Give these a try. The last one looks pretty good.http://www.holleygene.com/bible.htm
8-) I was trying to avoid starting a debate ... LOL I am NOT gonna go there, nor will I get into my own views on the bible ... because I know this thread will end up being 200 posts long ROFL My request for "historical" sources is because I prefer to use pictures that are reasonably accurate for the time period being depicted. Please, let's not turn this into a religious discussion, because that wasn't the intent. 8-)
xantor: I understand your intentions ... I said what I said to try to ward off any debates. No offense taken. It's best to leave it at that. 8-) Kirwyn, I agree ... I take a middle of the road approach to the bible ... it is history interlaced with beliefs and traditions. Silke - I believe I do have the Biblical clothing from when I was a PoserWorld member, but I will probably be using V3 and M3. Besides I enjoy making my own as well. 8-)

Does anyone know of any good books, or even online resources, that would have detailed reference sketches or paintings of "authentic" clothing for peoples of the bible? I'd probably need some examples of robes, shawls, head wear, sandals and other footwear, and even hairstyles, to depict Old and New testament stories. So examples of male and female clothing from all related nationalities (Hebrew, Sumerian, Babylonian, Roman, Egyptian, and so on) would be much desired.
