When I was a kid my best friend (folks) had a cabin on Leech Lake. That's who the card is for. Like Superior, It was big enough you couldn't see the other side(s). So an opposite shore didn't cross my mind. I'm working off a 30 some year old memory. If anybody has an .OBP of a loon lay'n around let me know ;) Yes, the cattails and the reflection are the main focus. Thanks for your input.
I'm from Wisconsin, i guess i kind get what you're going for, but it doesn't look very minnesota. A think a loon would be a great touch, maybe a little more of the cat-tails, and that island or outcropping could be a little less...harsh. From my experience in minnesota (and the midwest in general) there's not so much jagged stuff by bodies of water. VERY good image, though, i love the reflections.
Oh yah dere hey! A bigole mooskie! Yahbetcha! Dat'll give it dat real up nort touch! ;c) (breaking out of Yooperese) ahem... as I was saying... if no opposite shore, maybe giving a bit more depth could help. A boat going out, a loon, a few more rocks or a reed bed. Something to give the depth of field to set off the intimacy of the cattails. Be real cool if you could find a little "waterstrider" to put in the foreground. :c)
