I was crusing sites when I ran accross this- don't remember seeing it before

xantor ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 5:47 PM

That is a good site I have been there before they have a lot of downloads and they have some english in the download page which is helpful.

PapaBlueMarlin ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 5:51 PM

I don't remember hearing of it either. I've looked through the site. There's a lot of great stuff there.

geoegress ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 6:04 PM

no nudity on that- grow up

mathman ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 6:07 PM

I am grown up .... ....and she has no clothes on, so she's nude. Its better to use the nudity link in a case like this.

MBaker ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 6:12 PM

If she were behind a screen and she had no clothes on would you need the nudity link? NO. Because her private parts would not be on show (Nude or not) and they are not on show here, therefore I see no need for a nudity link. Are you offended by the sight of bare skin??

mathman ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 6:23 PM

Whether the privates are showing is not the issue .... using the nudity link is not a measure of a person's prudishness, it's more as a warning. Hypothetical - a R'osity member surfing the Poser forum during their lunch break at work (quite legit in many workplaces) just happens to have this character displaying on their PC screen just as the boss walks past. This is what the nudity link is for, not as a prude alert. (FWIW, I have no problem with the image in case that was the impression).

MBaker ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 6:38 PM

I suggest if you have a problem with renderosity's TOS and rules then you take it up with the admin and not under an article which abides by rederosity's rules. If you are worried about your boss then I suggest not browsing sites that have thousands of nudity images or those showing skin like this one. And should you be using the company computer to browse renderosity? Question? If this "person" was caught by the boss looking at something they shouldn't on a company PC then is that the fault of the "person" or the image they are viewing? Food for thought.

akura_ ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 6:38 PM

any clothes or hair for her

geoegress ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 6:42 PM

just reporting what I found akura :) havn't used it yet trying to do something nice for a change -lol

mathman ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 6:43 PM

MBaker - in what way do I have a problem with renderosity's TOS and rules ?

Riddokun ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 6:48 PM

how adorable.. saw her on a couple of gallery pictures and wondered where she could be found... new character you sy ? new geometry ? compatible with nothing ? aaah.. we already had known that for our dear mayadoll and she is still here ! she did not sink against the flood of v2/v3 :)

akura_ ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 6:57 PM

I just used her and good news if you havn't all ready know, no characters are needed to use her. she is a nice character. keep up the good work in finding these things.

Riddokun ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 6:58 PM

one shouldn't be allowed to create such nie/cute characters, especially with some sick addicts of asiate/japanese girls like me around here :) she need suppot and welcom/birth gifts.. come one lets help her out !

akura_ ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 7:10 PM

GUYS heads up. I think she maybe a new class of character all together because I just realise that when i went under the hair for victoria and poser 4 it fit her with no twicking.

geoegress ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 7:11 PM

mathman- I think what Sir Baker is saying is that those who want to restrict or censor here in the forums allways want to extent what is limited. first it was no nips or pubs- then its only so much skin- it's allways this way with censorship- a slippery slope -how much breast can be showen on the top like clevage or on the sides -how many pub hairs make it not a preteen -what is the minimum cup size what are the standards? we follow them then they get moved back- if you look at that image more is showen in MOST bikinni pictures. it is well within TOS it is NOT my job to patrol your job viewing habits or take care of your kids- I have no brothers keeper- I am no ones keeper in return.

JoeyAristophanes ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 7:15 PM

Geo, it's called "courtesy". Remembver "courtesy"? Courtesy says you click the damn nudity button and get over it and move on.

mathman ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 7:20 PM

I agree, Joey. Also "caution", as well as courtesy.

geoegress ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 7:27 PM

it's also called limitation- fear- censorship- even when within the rules if I can't do whats against your own personal 'political correctness' am I free? the rules are the borders- not courtesy or caution. see - your changing the rules again

JoeyAristophanes ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 7:32 PM

OMG -- you have to click a button out of "fear"? "Limitations"? (Sorry, I don't understand that one at all) You think it's "censorship" to remind folks that the image you're posting is a naked chick? Get real and get thee to Renderotica, where they don't give a damn either way. But spare me your delicate feelings about being persecuted about this. It won't wash.

MBaker ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 7:35 PM

It's such a shame that you can't post a link for the good of the community to help people without someone being childish about it and picking you up on everything they can think of. This image abides by the TOS. This is a great contribution and a helpful link by Geo. WELL DONE Geo!! Do you guys have anything positive that will help the community or did you only come here to Troll!! I haven't seen you say anything about the input geo is giving. It's so easy to criticise others isn't it. Please report this to the admin so they can tell you your wrong or take your negative comments else where. Thank you.

Lyrra ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 7:40 PM

Could everyone chill the heck out please? sheesh No she is not flashing the audience. BUT would you show this to a nun? if the answer is NO, we suggest the nudity tag. The final decision is up to the MODERATORS. We will decide if an image should be flagged or not. Thank you all for your concern, and once again I remind you ALL to stick to discussing the issues and not the people Lyrra the Cranky

JoeyAristophanes ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 8:04 PM

I wish certain people would grow up Between this and the nonsense over "Omigod! I can only post one image a day!", it doesn't seem likely. But whatever, folks. Pretty sad day when simple courtesy is seen as a threat to one's sense of "high art". Sorry Lyrra, but this really ticks me off. Yeah, the site is a cool one, one of my regular visits, and Marinenet does some really spectacular work. But that doesn't excuse folks from sliding past the pretty simple concept that if she's not wearing anything, she's nude. I mean, is that so difficult to understand, gang?

hmatienzo ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 8:21 PM

--BUT would you show this to a nun?-- Lyrra, darling... you have no idea, do you! LOL... I went to a private Catholic school run by nuns, and believe me, they were NOT easily shocked at all... Quite the contrary. But of course, that has nothing to do with the needed nudity flag here.

There are advertisments for shampoo on tv that have as much nudity as this picture. That is during the day when children watch. I thought that was funny. "no nudity on that-grow up" Why would someones boss be bothered by this picture?

sigh..there are some workplaces that have a zero tolerance for nudity..and we don't have a problem with nudity, but our supervisors do (I've seen 2 people lose their jobs immediately over it). The Nudity tag allows for those who choose to look at nudity to decide or not whether they want to see it. For those who don't want to, or aren't allowed to, the 'nudity' tag can save yer butt..so it's a small courtesty. It's not the end of the world , but good jobs are hard to come by, especially lately. So don't get all het up by it, we're just asking for a little fairness..

Joey, Geo has always been a trouble maker so take no notice of his latest act of thoughtfullness against us trusting and goodwilled rositarians Y'know, I.m sure this kind of crap is just hilarious to you guys, but I have yet to see anyone really respond to the simple fact that IF SHE'S NOT WEARING ANY CLOTHES, SHE'S NUDE and the nudity flag, that oppressive little radio button, happens to apply. So when you finish your six year old giggles, you might want to remember that. It has nothing to do with limiting one's freedom of expression, just a simple request that you remind folks when you put up a picture of a naked person. Is that really so difficult, folks? If so, then clearly I'm hanging at the wrong forum because I was sorta under the impression that we had real adults around here. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Marque ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 10:39 PM

I don't get it, why is it that if it has to do with nudity anyone who asks for the simple courtesy of the nudity flag is labled a prude or is accused of trying to keep the art world down. Why couldn't you just say, sorry no problem next time I'll hit the button. It's getting a bit crazy here lately, seems if one wants the courtesy of the nudity flag, which was put there for a reason, that they are slammed not always by the person who put the pic up but by folks who seem to jump at the chance to post their ideas of what we should have forced down our throats. I don't care one way or the other, I have no one looking over my shoulder. But EVERYONE here has rights, not just the "artists" who are offended that some of us would like the warning of nudity or violence before we check out the thread. Marque

markk ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 10:44 PM

Nice character. Interesting to note though, some people are effended by nudity, but don't have a problem with violence. Has anyone noticed most movies and games have lots of violence and often no real nudity or sex. Then it begs the question, do people prefer violence to nudity or sex?

-Yggdrasil- ( ) posted Mon, 24 November 2003 at 11:05 PM

Actually, now that I think about it... I think I was at Zock's like YESTERDAY and saw the framework for the site, but nothing was there yet. Must've added it in right after I left. -_- Oh... and I checked the "BOTH" flag, for all of your nudity and violent behavior. 8P

Hey Lyrra. Who's doing the Tango now? Is this a compleatly original mesh? Or is based on P4NW? I noticed that at the armpit she get's bit Jaggy.

kingkyle ( ) posted Tue, 25 November 2003 at 12:43 AM

simple fact.. if he had put the nudity tag on FAR more people would have looked at it then now... even people at work with stuck up supervisors but this is ALL besides the point.. thing is its ALREADY been posted, if he is like me then he wont change a post even if its wrong.. its called shared learning i can perfectly understand that some people are offended or scared that there boss would be by this pic. it also depends how you deal with it. i have also been in situations where people have been fired for looking at nudity at work and my boss also has seen me looking at forum post and items with nudity.. of couse he asked what the heck i was doing.. and after i explained to him he was ok with it.. so it is actually if you have a problem with it because, if not then you wont have any trouble telling your boss the what's and the why's oh but what do i know im just a 6 year old

TrekkieGrrrl ( ) posted Tue, 25 November 2003 at 2:29 AM

But Kingkyle.. if you click a post labeled Nudity, I don't think the pictures are showing, are they? (I don't really know coz I've always allowed nudity, then again, I have my own office and my back against a wall LOL) Anyway, it's no big deal to click the nudity button imo. If in doubt, click it. I may very well forget it, and I don't think I would have labeled it nudity either if I had posted that pic, but well, I hear what people are saying and yeah, technically she's nude. But where's the limit? Aren't you nude underneath your clothes too? What's the difference between covering your body like on the pic, or doing it with a skimpy bikini? It's not LIVING PEOPLE, it's DIGITAL fcol. I posted pics on Daz that were as nude as this pic, and Daz does NOT like nudity, yet those pics were fine with them. I would show this to a nun, should I ever come across one (pretty hard in a protestant country ;o) )

"Anyway, it's no big deal to click the nudity button imo. If in doubt, click it." But then you'd be IMPEDING someone's ARTISTIC FREEDOM!!! Or something. (where's that "rolling eyes" icon when you need it?) I see this backlash against common courtesy all the time lately. I don't understand it. It's been said that while it's possible to get through life with bad manners, it's much easier with good ones. Why do people insist on being pugnacious and rude, when it's just as easy to be polite (or at least, not downright rude). I just don't get it. bonni

just tested her... encouraging overall but her hips are terrible :( i just couldn't tweak them correctly so far. Eye mapping is lost on the middle of the big body texture file too (so it would requires heavy/large files just for eyes... don't want to live through this anymore :) the face looks strange until rendered, but anyway she comes with quite decent morphs for most parts... she is new, she sure needs improvement, as most newcoming characters, but she is free.. time to support heavily i guess :p
