well, I knew when I got home for thanksgiving I'd have to play with my mother's new digital camera. It's a Nikon Coolpix 2500 I believe. Not a terrible little camera. I wanted to try the macro option and ended up taking a picture of my eye. I thought it was pretty neat, so I'm sharing it. heh. Might be good for grabbing textures as well. max res is 1600 by 1200. Have a happy thanksgiving.

Did you shot the reflection from a mirror or just aim it into your eye? The color and clarity are great...:)

Wow that's eerie. Somebody could print that out and jab a pencil in your eye, or throw darts at it.

Ornlu ( ) posted Wed, 26 November 2003 at 5:21 PM

Actually zan, I stood infront of a mirror held the camera facing my eye and aimed it using the reflection of the viewfinder located on the back of the camera.

Ornlu, you have the prettiest blue eye I have ever seen. Did you color enhance it or is it totally natural you? I just went back for another peek, good lord thats a beautiful eye! Ang

catlin_mc ( ) posted Wed, 26 November 2003 at 10:16 PM

Oh I love blue eyes on a guy. Maybe one day he'll also post a picture of all of him Ang. 8) Catlin

Ang25 ( ) posted Wed, 26 November 2003 at 10:21 PM

Yeah Catlin, I was thinking of that thread we did so long ago, it might be time,(with all the new folk and all) to do another post a current pic of yourself thread. I know I could stand to see an updated version of AS. wink and I'm sure Rayraz has matured into a fine looking young man too! And there are many more too, that would be nice to see.

Ornlu ( ) posted Wed, 26 November 2003 at 10:28 PM

Oh, I'm a total nerd, don't worry. lol. And no, I didn't change the color. I did in the Huge picture but not in the one at the top of this thread. Here comes the picture taken through the mirror. Don't mind my hair, my dumb friend thought it would be funny to spray that stupid sink hose at me...sigh...

Vile ( ) posted Wed, 26 November 2003 at 10:38 PM

I have spent most of the evening poking you right in the eye!lol Now I am off to render a great big finger to take over when I get bored! ROTFLMAO! uh... eye don't get it?

RodsArt ( ) posted Wed, 26 November 2003 at 10:44 PM

Cool thanx, I'll put that in the "Ornlu Folder", & try something different.

Oh man Ornlu pull your top lash back and do it again (seriously). Your eye would make an awsome tex!

Flak ( ) posted Wed, 26 November 2003 at 10:50 PM

Any other body parts you want to share, Dr Ornlu-stein? Seriously - like Vile said.

Ang25 ( ) posted Wed, 26 November 2003 at 11:03 PM

OMG those are the coolest most bluest eyes I have ever seen. Plus its nice to get a glimps at the rest of you also. Now when I drive thru Massachusetts on my way to visit the relatives I have an Idea who to be looking for. :-D Hope that you are home enjoying a nice turkey dinner tomorrow. Ang

Ornlu ( ) posted Wed, 26 November 2003 at 11:12 PM

@flak: no, I don't think so... @vile: I could if you want, though since it's pretty much whited out, you could just brush over it. But I'll do another photo sometime, try to get rid of that glare and all. @Ang25: lol, thanks. I am having a turkey dinner tomorrow, but our family (mother, step father, brother, aunt, uncle)(yeah, we're a small family) traditionally go up to the white mountains for the four day vacation. Waterville valley to be exact. It's pretty cool.

catlin_mc ( ) posted Wed, 26 November 2003 at 11:49 PM

You know what it is Ornlu, Your eyes are just so clear. I guess it's got something to do with the no smoking and no drinking. Oh I remember the days when my eyes looked like that. lol 8) Catlin

alvinylaya ( ) posted Thu, 27 November 2003 at 3:47 AM

Wow, amazing detail. I can see an eyelash in the bottom part of your eye. I hope you got that one out. ;-)

shadowdragonlord ( ) posted Fri, 28 November 2003 at 8:23 PM

Aye, that's a great pic and cool technique, Ornlu! After running your eye through soe retinal filters, we have determined that you INDEED DO have an illegal drug intake. Notice the inner scalloped halo effect? It's a result of too much Garballogian Tea-Fruit powder. I'm on to you, and I'm going to have to report this to... uh, nevermind... (grins)

JC_01 ( ) posted Fri, 28 November 2003 at 10:42 PM

ok, it is me or anyone elses eyes watering after looking at those? LOL and i agree with the other girls....very pretty eyes Ornlu, they really really stand out....haven't seen anyone with that color eyes since a jr high crush on the kid next to me in spanish class...hehehe

The funny thing is that the picture Ornlu took of himself came as no surprize 'cos he looks exactly as I thought he would. I also think that even though you are a geek Ornlu you do have a handsome face and you also look very sensitive. 8) Catlin

That's a texture I'm going to save. It looks great.

Could be worse, could be raining.
