Subject: Atmosphere editer crashes

iloco ( ) posted Wed, 03 December 2003 at 11:52 AM · edited Sun, 12 January 2025 at 9:52 PM

Working with a saved imge in Vue Pro I go into atmosphere editor and go to fog and haze using standard atmosphere setting.
When I click on Color to change in Fog I get an error and Vue Pro Crashes.
Reopen and do same with Haze color and crashes the same.

Curious if anyone else is having this problem with the new update.

The error is: Vue4Pro.eon.exe has gererated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. :o(

Sorry gebe, I may gave not given enough explanation. It is when click on the right color sidebar for a differet color. It doesn't do it in main color window. The little color bar on the right of main color window is when I get the error and Vue Pro closes. :o)

Could you send a screenshot please. I don't know what you mean with the right color sidebar. thanks.

Or did you mean the select color window and the right slider? For me it works fine.

iloco ( ) posted Wed, 03 December 2003 at 12:48 PM

Yes the right slider. Have sent report to e-on tech so will see what they have to say. Might be something in my installation but I have no idea what it would be. Only started doing it after the beta update. :o)

It is not a "beta" update. Did you update to the latest version 4.51 build 266918?

iloco ( ) posted Wed, 03 December 2003 at 1:04 PM

Yes To the latest update over the weekend. :o)

I had the same pb few weeks ago with another one : Swapping to other application (ie or explorer) when the atmosphere editor was open crash Vue.

I report these bugs to e-on and they recommended me to re-install Vue4. And they were right.
I made a standard install (Main Disk C) and upgrading to latest version manually (no auto update).

No more pb with the atmosphere editor.

gebe it says on e-ons download page the 4.51 update is still in beta. I am going to uninstall and reinstall and see what happens.

Thanks gebe and denice for the help. Help is much faster here than at other places. I uninstalled Vue Pro and reinstalled and it is working much better with out a few the problems I been having. No more crash with atmosphere editor and now it is finding my pz3 files from poser 5 as it should. I upgraded manually with only the last update bypassing the one in between. :o)
