THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: OT- Consequence of Drac's handsome face..

Zhann ( ) posted Thu, 04 December 2003 at 6:28 AM

Vasquez, do you impact the knee or are the knees you study impacted at different strengths prior to your examination? (please tell me the owners of the said knee are already dead)

Funny to put faces to the names. I had Zhann as a man(no pun intended), I do not want to meet vasquez in real life, ICM looks like Roger Moore and everyone is older than i had imagined.

What a lovely bunch of madmen and missfits we are.

vasquez ( ) posted Thu, 04 December 2003 at 6:48 AM

Well usually we work on cadavers, (so they are dead zhann) but we do also in vivo studies during surgeries, but don't worry we do not take to much time to the surgery and we preserve everything we just digitize the surfaces and hte contact points and let the surgeons make some stress test (into phisiological ranges of course). Ehi... we work to preserve human stuff not to crash it! ,-)

Gog ( ) posted Thu, 04 December 2003 at 7:29 AM

Bazze, I don't think the images are funny either and don't mean to offend, but they are a great set of pictures explaining what some of us do (or did). I think people have great difficulty understanding conflict unless you've been in it, sometimes pictures like this help break through this idea that modern warfare is 'impersonal'. I'd love to see a few politicians spend a while in conflict zone bfore they can make decisions to join a conflict coz it ain't pretty or nice or heroic it's exciting, but mainly frightening at the same time, you learn who your true buds are and who really are out for themselves. I'd want really good evidence of necessity before joining a conflict, obviously tactical asignments and decisions are a different thing, but the general decision to join is one not to be taken lightly. Sorry to get heavy, normal service will be resumed shortly.

Looks like I got in late! Don't have a recent pic...putting in one about a year and a half old! Great idea putting face to names! We had done it some time back, if I remember correct! But then looks like we have new faces since! :) And those interested in geographically placing me...am in India (still the third rock from the sun :P), 36 earth years, and single (in case it adds to the face value :D)

I couldn't find any pictures of Matt Groening (I must admit I didn't look that hard) so I will have to take your word for it that he is as handsome (grin). I believe he is also about 7 1/2 years older.

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!

Wow what a thread! I have no recent pics due to the hundred or so pounds I gained before finding I had hypothyroidism. It is now under control, I have lost 8 pounds in the last 3 months. If anyone is successful at getting me in front of the camera I promise to post a pick at that time...:P

BOOMER ( ) posted Thu, 04 December 2003 at 1:17 PM

Diversity, you want a definition, just look here. WOW! Everthing from soup to nuts. Mostly nuts, I would say. Some hot women, cool guys and all around REAL people. Seems we say it like it is and that's what counts. I had an idea reading through this today. Don't know it anyone else had the thought or if it's been tried or done before, but, what about a Bryce "conference" so to speak. OK, OK..a party. We all get together at some centralized location for a weekend of..of...well, whatever. Just an idea. What do yuz all think? Yeah or Nay?

rickymaveety ( ) posted Thu, 04 December 2003 at 1:45 PM

We're pretty spread out, Boomer. What would you consider a "centralized" location?

Could be worse, could be raining.

danamo ( ) posted Thu, 04 December 2003 at 2:18 PM

Somewhere in the mid-Atlantic would be "centralized", lol. It just wouldn't be quite the same without the non-U.S. members of the Forum. We're spread out all over this planet.(Oh,didn't mean to exclude you non-human members ,sorry). Now if the guys at the ultra top-secret "Black Project" labs in Montauk would just commercialize their teleportation devices, we could meet anywhere on planet Earth. Seriously though, it does sound like fun Boomer, but the logistics involved would be a killer!

drawbridgep ( ) posted Thu, 04 December 2003 at 2:49 PM

Wow! Meeting up is gonna be way tricky. No such thing as a central location in the global village. How about West Kent in the UK. Nice and central for me. For a few months, anyway, then Indy will be more central. How about setting a time when we can all crash into the chat room. That's almost like a meeting and more of us can probably make it. Might have to be late GMT in order for our American cousins to be able to get home from work etc. We should have put our locations along with the pictures. I was gonna say age as well, but lets be serious. Phil (DrawbridgeP) Tunbridge Wells, Kent, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

BOOMER ( ) posted Thu, 04 December 2003 at 2:57 PM

Yeah, I know it's kind of far fetched, but it's an idea for anyone willing to. Alternative - Those of us in the US can meet in an agreed upon 'centralized' location and those in the UK and other European countries can set up a place to meet. Yeah, I know we are spread thinly over the whole planet, but it would be a blast. Pictures taken out the wazoo and posted on the net for all of us to make fun at. Like we don't already. I don't know. Sounded like a good idea. If anyone is up for it or has an idea, spit it out. The chat room sounds like a good idea. Most likely it will be late at night for some and early as hell for others.

Well if I could ever win the millions!!! in Lottery, I would foot the bill for 50 or so Brycers to meet for a week in the Carribean, but its got to be millions. Let you guys know the minute I have a winning ticket! :-D Of course if I ever go to Atlantic City again maybe some of us live close enough to meet there.
