I thought I would share a "sneak peek" at an upcoming model package I have been working on!

I have been working for a long time on a Poser FLYING DUCK Package with most of the previous duck species of my original standing duck set - with VERY HIGH RES texture and bump maps! The new maps for all the ducks will be approximately 2000x2000" - a quality just like the high res Wild Cats I just finished!

As a HUGE THANK YOU to all who purchased my duck sets for the past three years, the BONUS of this Flying Duck Package is a WHOLE SET of matching BRAND NEW folded wing duck model/maps for free! That means the set of flying ducks will be reasonably priced as all my sets are, but include double the models with the NEW folded wing ducks! (see next post for picture!)

AND...as part of that HUGE THANK YOU - when the Flying Duck Bonus Package debuts in our store, there will be FREE SHIPPING on any order that contains the new Flying Duck Package for a WHOLE MONTH! Yes! Free shipping in both the US and Overseas for a whole month on orders that contain the new Flying Duck Bonus Package!

I will have the male and female: mallards, wood ducks, pintail ducks, at least one of the "teal" ducks, baby ducks, and we'll see what else as time goes on... The male mallard has it's little black "curly tail feathers" shown in the pictures and the Pintail duck will have it's "pintail feather" too! :) (ducks have Easy Pose Necks and will have poser pre-set poses too, perhaps some posed and saved as a pz3 - when the easy pose neck positions don't "hold" in the pre-set poses)

Expected price for the set: $20... "ETA" (estimated time of arrival) depends on how my other current project (TBA - to be announced - soon, IF it works out well) gets finished. The duck project is huge, even though the ducks themselves are done, morphs are done, poser-izing is done (as shown in pictures) - but that many high res maps for both the male and female of each takes a lot of time.

Regarding the Flying ducks - yes they can land and take off, the legs do "come down" part way and toes flatten out. The Wings are modeled so they have the complete wing look but do "bend" at the first joint both down and back with morphs, as well as the whole wing flaps, moves forward, back and twists with dials!

Also as with all my models the package will include a nice amount of "Ready Pose" mapped static models ready for use in Vue or Bryce, for those who either don't have poser or want to put the ducks into a scene "right now"! (mouth opens, too of course!) :)

Here is the new "folded wing" or "standing" duck that will be included in the Package!

ARgh... where is the "edit" ... I meant to say that the FLYING DUCKS "mouth opens too, of course"... NOT the Ready Pose ducks... sorry for any confusion that caused. The Poser Model of the Flying Ducks and Folded wing ducks are fully pose-able with a mouth (bill) that opens and closes. The Ready Pose static models included do not have pose-able mouths.. some will have mouths open and some will not. I do included BOTH full Poser models and the static Ready Pose models in all my sets so that folks with Poser can use the Poser versions and those without Poser can use the Ready Pose versions in Vue and Bryce. Lyne, you say in your first post:

"Also as with all my models the package will include a nice amount of "Ready Pose" mapped static models ready for use in Vue or Bryce, for those who either don't have poser or want to put the ducks into a scene "right now"! (mouth opens, too of course!) :) "

My first purchase from Vista was the Wild Cats pak but there are no static models on the CD. Were they missed?

Aeriol, No.. I can't give out "static Ready Pose" models of any one else's models but my own! A static Ready Pose model is the whole mesh of the model exported from Poser and set up with maps ready for import into Poser and Vue! So that is why it can only be MY OWN models.. not any morph and map sets of others! Thanks, everyone for your compliments! I know the flying ducks are long over due and the standing duck "upgrade" is also much needed! It was my little duck that started my whole modeling career.... have learned so much since then! :) Lyne

Just to be clear... the new duck set will REPLACE the ducks in our store when it is finished. The new folded wing duck in this new set is a fully upgraded mesh model. I will take the old ducks and mallard mini pack down when I finish the new Flying set and post it... so many folks have bought and continue to buy my ducks, that we felt it only fair to charge only for the flying duck and add the new folded wing standing duck "free" in the set, as well as the month long free shipping when the new set hits the store! :) The low price for the whole set will remain $20 always! (and yes new folded wing mallard will be the mallard mini pack model too) Lyne Lyne's Creations
