I'm just about done with this lad. He'll be distributed as soon as he has a name. (morphed cr2, textures, MATS) made with DarkWhisper's NoRack morphs with permission, and my own morphs. Opinions? less chest hair maybe? but most importantly .. whats his name?

and the face

looks better as boy..

KarenJ ( ) posted Sat, 06 December 2003 at 4:27 AM

I'd say definitely less hair. He looks too slim and boyish to be carrying a rug like that! Names... hmm... how about Simon? (suggested by my 8 year old son, Simon... LOL)

He's very pretty for a boy. I agree, that he could use less hair. How about the name Ben?

Larry F ( ) posted Sat, 06 December 2003 at 5:05 AM

Simon sounds good to me. Would that mean Sara would do as he says? Hmmmmm???

catlin_mc ( ) posted Sat, 06 December 2003 at 7:01 AM

Oooooo he's lovely, and yes there's far too much hair on him. grin 8) I think Simon is a good name for him, Sara and Simon, they sound good together. 8) Catlin

cedarwolf ( ) posted Sat, 06 December 2003 at 7:13 AM

Yep, a tad too furry. Distracts from the 'toon or evish look to the character. Names? I've always been fond of Joshua, Patrick, and Brian. Good job, can't wait for him to be released. Same deal as Sara?

SWAMP ( ) posted Sat, 06 December 2003 at 7:46 AM

Leave the hair...and call him Hara..

bknoh ( ) posted Sat, 06 December 2003 at 9:21 AM

I would call him Sam. He looks good.

JoeyAristophanes ( ) posted Sat, 06 December 2003 at 9:31 AM

Sorry, Lyrra, but "he" really doesn't look much like a boy, except in the most superficial of ways. There's still those damn collagen lips (what are those, a Poser requirement for every model?) and the really femmy eyes. The chest hair is a nice touch, but way too overdone, particularly since he doesn't seem to have much on his arms or legs as well.

winter200 ( ) posted Sat, 06 December 2003 at 9:46 AM

Sam is cute- Sara & Sam. I agree he doesn't look old enough to be that hairy. I love Sara too but I was happy to see they made her "smaller breast" morphs. I like how you got a boyish face features! Most little boys are cute too- good job!

His chest still doesn't look quite right. The nipples, in particular, need to be up higher, and have a tad more definition.

Err, the nipples don't need more definition, his chest does. It's too flat. Most guys, though they'd never admit it, have a FEW curves to them. I have wide hips, for example. As for the eyes and lips? I have big lips. I have large, feminine eyes. If I dressed in drag, most people wouldn't notice. Except for being almost 6'0, anyway. Still, it's likely a good idea to try making the face more 'masculine' before release.

lol look like a Louis to me lol like the first guy i was going to marry but didnt, hairy and short. this guys kind of tall but he still looks like him lol

Lyrra ( ) posted Sat, 06 December 2003 at 4:24 PM

The trick here was to convert an exagerated female form into a plausible male form, yet still keep the 'toon' style, and as much clothing crossover as possible. There is significant recaling of body parts, so "Simon" is a little taller than his sister. I"ll be supplying a MOR file as well for fast scaling changes to clothing items. To Tailor: set all morphs to zero. Delete all props (teeth, hairbase). Then Tailor sara's clothes to him. I have no clothing for Sara and never will, so I leave this as an exercise for the user. Modelers may feel free to make clothing for him specifically. The face had minimal work, just to set a base 'boy' face. I figure that other morph artists will make morphs for Sara and this way there shouldn't be too much conflict. The lips have been morphed some, but if I take them down any more the expression morphs are ...well ugly is too kind a word. There is light bodyhair all over, but I agree the chest hair is unneeded. I'll be revising Simon's textures, and posting him in Freestuff sometime today. Of course you'll have to have the original Sara installed, and he has no genitalia. Lyrra "Because I can" Madril

I think he looks great Lyrra. :) Definitely a tad less chest hair, but for an elven or faery figure, he has a perfect look, IMO. Great job, and thank you so much for your generosity. :)

AlleyKatArt ( ) posted Sat, 06 December 2003 at 5:37 PM

Don't get me wrong. I'm grateful, for sure! :) Looking forward to not having to do it myself, lemmie tellya.

he has no genitalia Hey, why should he be any different from any of the other Poser characters of late? :)

cedarwolf ( ) posted Sat, 06 December 2003 at 8:41 PM

I'll be looking for him! Sounds like a great combination. I can see several romantic scenes dancing around in the midst of the psychoses I call my artistic mind. Thanks ever so much!

If she is Sara...he should be Jareth. Sorry just got finished watching Labyrinth.

KarenJ ( ) posted Sun, 07 December 2003 at 4:58 AM

Hehe, my son now thinks he is famous, he has a toon named after him ^_^ Thanks for your generosity Lyrra, I'll be looking foward to downloading him later!

Lyrra - are you refusing to download SteveShanks' Sara outfit from PoserWorld or (gasp) aren't you a member?

Batronyx ( ) posted Sun, 07 December 2003 at 6:03 PM

A day late and a dollar short as usual. I just now read this thread and 'Robby' popped into mind. But Simon works :)

RHaseltine Alas, I was laid off last Feb, and finances still irregular. My membership at PoserWorld died shortly after V3 came out sigh Some day I'll be able to afford to renew, but not at the moment. Lyrra

Ugh - you have my sympathy, and I hope things come together for you.
