Subject: O.K. now I've done it...help

I've been play with the control keys and have my poser interface in poser 3 screen, how do I get the poser 4 interface back? I'll quit messing with the keys I swear... skee (the monkey)

Try "ESC" or "PO4" - either of those should work. If not, simply tell Poser to start up with the factory presets and restart it - that ought to work Paul

Paul, None of the above thing worked. I also now have extra folders in my poses and figure files that are listed as "X" that I can not get poser to read. If I do a reload of poser4 will I need to repatch?

Before you reload try going to: "Edit/General Preferences" and check "Launch to Factory State" and re-open Poser. That should get you back to the P4 interface. I don't know about the new folders thing though. Is there anything in them?

Nance, I have tried to do that but does not work. and yes the folders have copys of all the figures I have downloaded and all the poses that I have gotten off this site. But I can't use the folders, it says "can not find obj" and will not load. strange ,huh! A picture of them shows up in the sidebar images but want load. Thanks for any help. skee

nance, I just took another look at the folders and from what I see they contain a list of everything in each file( under poses X is a list of all my poses ALL OF THEM, under prop x there is a list of all my props ALL OF THEM..wild !!!! But on my hard drive under Props ect. on folder x . The picture I see is the gray guy ,you know the one with his hands up, when it doesn't have an image. skee

In the prefs folder is Poser.ini. In it you will find a line that says: USE_META_UI 1 Actually, yours probably is set to 0, change it to 1 & you'll be back to normal, whatever that is.

dave wight, thanks for the help. it seemed to do the trick. sorry it took me so long to get back, I have been out of town for a week of R&R and my wife would not let me take my computer with me. nance , it worked, thanks for your concern. ever grateful skee
