Thanks guys ;-} The terrain in something i just kinda threw together, made small hills, lowered the depth, cut a path through the middle, then eroded, and smoothed....it looked kinda choppy so i upped the depth just a tad and spot clicked along both sides for the additional smoothing inside the cut path... The footprints are a negative mesh i drew shaped like a foot then booleaned with the terrain...lol i didn't even count how many but they lead almost to the house shhh dun tell, they don't go all the way lol MuddyGrubb, yea, i was going to make an arch, but just never got it finished...i'll lower those into the ground some do they dont' show, and i also wanna work on the snow piles along them and the pine trees some more also... as for the mat...I just tweaked the default bryce snow mat, ALOT....if you guys want it (i know how hard they can be to find) sooooooo heh... i uploaded it to my geocities page for you guys, if ya want it... it's zipped tho cause apparently geocities don't like straight .mat files...lol Direct link to file Or, if geocities is being picky, and you can't get it that way... go Here and click on snow mat on the bottom left. And in my final hours - I would cling rather to the tattooed hand of kindness - than the unblemished hand of hate...
I'd leave the snow smooth. It looks exactly like that after a fresh showfall. However, I would add some on the trees and the roof of the cabin (granted, the heat from the cabin would make it melt off the roof faster, but it would look good with some know on it, and maybe some icicles?
Could be worse, could be raining.
thanks guys! danamo, thanks :D can you believe the only font face font on that site at all is the words "Snow mat" LOL I really loved that font i downloaded for psp, that all the text on the site is actually images..lol was fun to do! Blog, bump on snow does look good, however, in this one, i kinda of envisioned a fresh falled snow, that has yet to see the sun...although there's some small trails cutting through it from the wildlife around... :) Thanks Catlin and Bryster! lol all the snow we got this last week kind of inspired some of this..LOL TJ, if i had poser, i'd "think" about it...grins maybe some lights on the trees to substitute? Ricky, i was thinking of toning down th elights just a tad, and adding some type if christmas lights around the house, and some of the trees, and they'd look pretty cool offset from a snow covered roof.. ;) If anyone wants the terrain, i'll post what i got for it...although it's really nothing special...LOL Jen
the pine trees as of now, each are two trees...one with the green needles, and one with the snow mat for the second set of needles, this second tree is shifted up half a point, and towards the camera...to give the impression of snow covered needles, however not all show the same, and will need a tad readjusting...i will also be adding clumps to the branches and along the trunk of the main tree to the right....the pillars have been lowered alot, and i've even begin to play with different lighting, tho i like this the best so far.... I will work on it again later this afternoon, and hope to have a repost by morning...(this evening, we're helping a friend do some work in her kitchen of her new house) Everyone is welcome to the snow mat and the terrain, if ya want em, tho i'd have to ask...LOL since i hope to put this in the challenge this month, lol keep the terrain for something else...LOL feel free to use the snow tho, if it works for you... Thanks everyone, Jen
