I'm having a problem getting a handle on the settings. I want to get this result within C3, right now I'm using Strata 3.9 RavX render to get this....I'd like to stay inside C3 for the whole project. Anyone have the settings or know how to get it?

THANKS in advance.

Kat

Kat, In the Toon settings, try turning the toon settings to zero and the "Line" settings to 50% or so. Also play with the "edge" angle settings (low settings probably.) Have sharp edge at "1" as well. I also found if you render a big image the black lines are thinner. I just started playing with the toon settings as well. Good Luck, Regards Mike

Here is an image that I quickly did. I also learned that "object edge" settings draws a Line around the object outline or silhouete, while "hard edge" draws lines for the interior edges. Use "1" for both of these. To get "Toon lines" on interior flat surfaces, they have to be separate meshes. So you have to be aware of this when modelling , then do a split object command to make individual meshes. Regards Mike

Fabulous Mike! Thanks SO much for that...and on a Saturday evening. I also appreciate the additional caveats toward the mesh planning. You just made my night. Kat

And by the way, Vectorstyle brings the RavX render in Carrara, so you can output those vectors as well. The non-photorealistic render (NPR) does nice things with lines too. Bye!

Good point Hoofdcommissaris.......Vectorstyle is on my wishlist for Christmas........;) Hope Santa was paying attention to my wish at dinner last week! 8) Kat
