bazze: I'm not clear on what your question is. 1. Do you want to know if your file should be that large? (Probably, if there are that many polygons involved.) 2. Do you want to know how to make the file smaller? (You could recreate your "rounded cube" object in Wings and try not to smooth it so much so you have fewer polys, then do some more smoothing in Bryce. Also, are there many cubes which aren't showing in your field of view? You might be able to delete some of them without affecting the pic as long as they aren't casting a shadow into the pic.) Or: 3. I'm entirely missing the point (not unusual for me) Hope this helps. John

Wow, 300 radials is a lot, did you play with sme of the advanced render options (such as smooth shadows and/or transitions) before you opted for more lights? Can you poly cull in wings i.e on the flat surfaces weld polys together so that the flat is a single larger poly?

Thanks, Gog, I'm still learning Wings and haven't gotten all the options down yet. :^)

I think you should talk to Ornlu, the master of simulated HDRI without the need of radials. You can also search for past topics in this forum regarding "HDRI" or "radiosity".
