Looks great. How bout seeing him on a lighter back ground. The black tends to hide things. ;-) Like his hair. I had to take the image into PS and lighten the image to see everything Did I mention it looked Great? Dagar

Looks good. What I can see of the hair and beard look great. There's something a little bit weird going on around his ankles. Maybe his joint parameters need tweaking? Apart from that, excellent work!

That's looking really good! Could stand to be a little stockier or wider I though. But I like it.

I tend to agree with the needing to be stockier/wider part. But I would need to work on juggling with the X & Z scales and I'm not really wanting to mess with those. So far I haven't even figured this character into my story yet, but I'm now doing him for another project, I have this big fight scene in my mind with a lot of actors, a classic "band of heros taking on some bad guys" type of thing. As far as lightining it, well I can see every detail just fine, I've calibrated my monitor settings. There's a site (don't have the adres with me right now) that has some simple tests to help set up the colour balance and gamma just right. The beard is Anton's Fantasy beard, it came uout better then I thought/ I think it's partly becuase the lighting I'm using here (DAZ coplex global). The "freaky" thing around the anckle is a commen problem when apliyng the Heavy morph on Mike 2, but you won't see it once I've fitted the bottem half of the costume. Costume itself is John Malis' Vikings outfit which is great to work with, but there is one downsite. John named the muscle morph the same as Mike's and so there is some crosstalk going on. However Nerd's Crosstalk fixer (null figure) seems to work fine :) Thanks for the comments, the feedback has been quite helpfull so far.

Loos pretty good .. let me know when you get somethign with longer sleeves or pants going cause that is normally a big problem with the scaling. It is what caused me not to use most of my dwarves

Axe_Gaijin ( ) posted Tue, 09 December 2003 at 5:59 PM

Well you caught me there Ghost :) I actually hid the longsleeves becuase there was some clipping around the cuffs. Nothing major though, noting either some taper or a transparansy map couldn't fix :)

Yeah .. Those buggers like to flair up when posing in more dramatic fashions too ... Thanks Note to self, use short sleeves on dwarves

Looks like Salmonius from the old Herculaes tv show...

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

Just for the record, I can see the details in the picture just fine on my monitor (I'm on a Mac if anyone's curious)/

Looks cool. If you have Michael's Changing Fantasy suit, many of the elements can be imported from Geometries or just exported to be brought back in as props for him. Complex Global lights make all hairstyles more realistic. I made them cuz regular shadows on hair looked so bad. They were really hair lights in the beginning. I think his weight is fine cuz anything you add on top will just bulk him up even more. Only thing I would try to get bigger is the feet to support the bulk. Really like the face. -Anton

PS: Foot length is usually same diatance as inside of crease of elbow to wrist. Maybe just make feet alittle wider.

"Maybe just make feet alittle wider. " Either that or make his shoes big! Emily
