Hey Im getting crud with both rederers in P5 (Mac version). Ive got the settings on both to output high quality results.(as far as I know)... P4 has anti aliasing and shadows. FF has production settings and texture filter on. It's fairly apperent whats going on in the FF render (blochy hair and skin) but the P4 render is a little more subtle. (black lines in the hair). I played with settings for an hour and coudnt figure out what was wrong with the FF renderer and then did it with the P4 renderer and was amazed to see those black lines. Any help would be appreciated Brian

Try plugging the image map of the hair into the displacement channel. Use a setting of something like 0.001 or less

Not your fault, it's the hairmodel. Do what CDI suggested or go to Kozaburo's website (link attached) - he has a tut about how to fix this.

first, the texture u r using is probably lo res....a small texture will wrap around and show those stretch marks...try a high res texture of 4000x4000......that should solve the blotchy problem second, the hair is a model problem......all you have to do is plug in the texture map into the displacement node and set to a very low value like .0001.....spackles should disappear.......
