Back when I had a family it was a New Year's Eve tradition to do the 'resolution' trip. The family was to come with 2 or more resolutions for the New Year...mine were always the most unpopular: 1. I will never make resolutions I probably won't/can't keep. 2. I resolve to never make any more New Year Resolutions. I was thinking back on this last night as a single person whose kids have all grown and left home, and decided to slant some hard decision resolutions towards the current love in my life - Poser4. 1. I am not going to purchase or d/l any new Poser people during 2004; 2. I am going to spend more time producing pictures and less time surfing 3D sites; 3. I am going to dig out some of my old archieves and honor the creators by presenting their past creations to the new generation of Poser users; 4. I am going to only d/l 1-freebie per week; 5. I am never going to make any more New Year resolutions. Wont' you share your Poser NY resolution with us?

Forgive the typos, but who has time to Preview Post and correct b4 moving on to the next adventure?

I have a suspicion that your 5 resolutions will fall by the wayside before the month is up, if you last that long :)

LOL @ Dave-So! Hm...mine would be... 1. To finish all the projects I start. 2. To not be so critical of myself. 3. To go to Israel and visit my very best friend in the entire world. =) If I'm lucky, I'll achieve the third one. =P

I'm still considering mine. But I'm leaning toward: 1. Organizing my Readmes (organizing my Runtimes is too big a project -- I know better!) 2. Finish and upload one image a week to my gallery on my personal Web site

I've decided trying to set too many resolutions is what killed any of my resolutions from happening. This year, I'd really like to do an illustrated novella. Since I have no ideas, this is a real challenge. But it's why I started with Poser. And perhaps that would put an end to my restless quest to find something creative in all of this. Or not. I may feel differently in a few months.

Either Dave-So knows me better than I do, or maybe is a student of human nature [Poser-wise]...but as I review the replies made to my post I am at the same time d/ding the 6 new Serge Marck dresses for Step3>>LOL. [And I don't have her yet, and refuse to break resolution #1 the first day!!]

Me, I bought StephPetite with the head and bodymorphs, and my only resolution for now is to have as much fun as I can have, to dream whenever it pleases me and to watch the grass grow from itself. Goodbye stress, goodbye anxiety, goodbye resolutions: let life organise itself and may I be alert enough to be in the right spot at the right moment. And if I'm not, I won't blame myself or anyone else. 2004: year of the hammock. Or at least: a more comfortable chiar to play puter.

I made a resolution about 5 years ago o not make any more nre year's resolutions, because I never can keep them anyway :) and I have managed to keep that one... plus it fits right in with my procrastination.

Hmm, this is an interesting one. If I were to make resolutions (I only set goals, not resolutions--or is that the same thing??), I would probably get busy with Poser (and hopefully DAZ|Studio) to make the cards, calendars, art jewelry, etc., that my sister and I are doing for our new sideline business we're just starting up. I want to get it going to build some extra income, get out of debt, so I can hopefully retire from my day job in about 4-5 years, so I can start doing graphics professionally, full-time. Also, getting my second novel polished up for publication, using Poser in the cover art. Melanie

Organize my runtime in P5 and I'm 1/3 of the way there!

Since I usually break all my new years resolutions anyway I thought this year I'd make some that would be easy to break and with that in mind here goes: Smoke and drink more, gain at least thirty pounds and get into really bad physical shape, get at least one speeding ticket this year, vote for all republicans and generally be more politically absurd, do absolutely nothing constructive, break at least three bones while downhill skiing, quit stating obscure and baseless rumors about secret underground military bases, discover the lost Dutchman Mine before Groingrinder does* and not be such a nice guy. but as this is the second I don't think these resolutions count: thank Milhouse for technicalities. - TJ * actually from what I hear, The Strategic Air Command has already discovered The Lost Dutchman Mine and due to the high copper content of the country rock surrounding the mine, has been using it as an electromagnetically hardened underground base just outside of Phoenix for at least the last 30 years. It is further rumored that there is some sort of off-worldly artifact similar to the Chauk Ra'I in StarGate housed there which is from what I've heard so far, one of the best pizza ovens in the SouthWest.

My resolution(s) would be:

1> Clean out my runtime directory (starting over) and then use P-Boost to keep stuff where I can find it.
2> Organize things I haven't installed and start using them rather than buying new stuff that I then don't know i even have.
3> Wait for Daz (or anywhere else) to have sales on these things rather than buying when they first come out, as they usually wind up offering it for dirt cheap (or free with subscription) later on. Don't want to even think about how much I spent only to have it practically given away later (especially at Daz).
