Has anyone any information regarding the beta release? The last info (website) said they were sure it would be ready by December last year (2003).

I hope there is no problem with the December 2003 release.
For the last 3 weeks, I've visited the Renerosity & Daz web sites each night, hoping to see information on the release.

Well I can't say for sure, but it appears they're not going to make the Dec '03 deadline. Heck, the alpha's only been out a week now.

I guess we can agree that there will never be a December release. Maybe January - something to ring the New Year off with... perhaps.

D|S is currently an Alpha Release for Platinum Club members.

Kinda Sucks that they give it to "only" the platinum club members. Sure they want to encourage membership in the club, but they played up D|S for over a year and made us all wait. Then they tease us, then they release an alpha to only the select few, when we all have been asking/waiting for it. This is one miffed dude over here. But not too mad just miffed.

Yes, they should have notified the public regarding any delays... especially since they came out Nov 19 03 to state that they were SURE it would be available last year Dec. I was sent an email stating that D|S was ready and given an opp to join the Plat club - but it was never said that I had to join Plat to get D|S - unless you read between the lines. Also they shed great importance on the NEED to get D|S ready as SOON as possible by many of us testing it as soon as possible. It would appear to me... that a public release would be the best option to get a masses test it ~ but hey, what do I know?

The public release for the beta wil happen but alphas are rarely ever released to the public. In releasing it to the PC club members they have narrowed the field a little so there is not 10000 voices screaming and stuff. It becomes a more managable level of comments to go through and they still get a wide variety of machines and problems. Alpha testing isn't really a fun thing.

Well, I guess it was harder than they expected. That happens to people. If it is truly only in alpha, it is better just to wait until it goes beta.
