I was wondering if it would be possible to create a fractal community calendar for ourselves or possibly to sell through renderosity. If a printed version proved too complicated we could produce an e-calendar in something like acrobat. I don't know how we would select the fractals for it. perhaps by voting? Would anyone be interested.

I had another idea just after the above. What about a screen saver that switched between various fractals. My programming is a bit rusty but I think I could probably do one those if enough people wanted to have their fractals included.

The screensaver - there is software out there that works great. I have screensaver builder, and I'd be glad to put images together if enough people are interested. But I don't want to be involved in making decisions or marketing. I don't know how, and I get all nervous when I know someone is depending on me! :-( So if someone wants to take point, I'll be glad to finish up on the end. The calendar - I don't think I want to participate. Sounds like too much work. But a call for images for the Fractal Universe 2006 calendar is coming shortly. Anyone who wants to can submit images for that calendar. Linda

Linda, may I ask who or what Fractal Universe 2006 Calendar is? Not that I wouldn't like to consider submitting something, but I don't even know what it is. I have been considering doing my own calendar for my family and friends, but it would be nice to try to enter none the less. As to Pteb's question posed, I have to agree that this would be wonderful. I have seen such beautiful work here and I think that it would be nice to have a calendar for those wonderful artist here in this community. As to how that would be done, I do not know. I admire the vision many in this community have in their pictures.
