Subject: Moving Vue4Pro

Can anyone help? I can only find frequently asked questions! at e-on I am having awful trouble.Vue4Pro won't let me uninstall! I moved it to another drive as I kept getting "out of memory" and wanted to install it on a larger drive.It comes up with a fatal error.I deleted the program and now it won't install at all! When I insert the application disc after serial numbers have been accepted and drive entered its sits on copying file object.prv.I am running Dual Athlon 2.6 plus Processors with 1.5 gigs of ram and Five Hardrives one with 93 gigs free and a Radeon 9700 Card.Can anyone assist?

Then make sure, before you install Vue 4 Pro again, to delete: All e-onsoftware related folders and files on your computer, it should not any more appear in the "add/delete programs" from the control pannel. All !! registries for e-onsoftware and Vue (regedit) The file called "VuePro.reg" from the C:Windows folder. Then restart your computer and re-install. this should work. It did for me (XP PRO) Guitta

No, you don't need to uninstall your Vue 4 copy, only Vue Pro. Going into the registries is a very tricky thing if you are not used to it. If you do something wrong, your computer may become very, very ill!! But if you follow EXACTLY this, you will have no problem: To go into the registry, click START/EXECUTE and type "regedit" (without the quotes). Click OK. This opens the registry. First open the folder called HKEY_CURRENT_USER There you find the folder "Software". Open it. In there you will find the folder "e-onsoftware", open it and delete the entire folder called "Vue 4 Professional". Do not delete the folder "Vue d'Esprit" if you have one in there. Close the folder called HKEY_CURRENT_USER ___________________ Now open the folder called HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE In there, open the folder SOFTWARE In there open the folder e-onsoftware In there delete ONLY the entire folder "Vue Pro" Close the folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Close the Registry. _______________ Delete VuePro.reg from the Windows folder. Make sure the old folders of Vue 4 Pro are completely deleted too from your HD. Just save your objects, plants to a save place before you do so. You can put them back when Vue 4 Pro is properly installed. Restart your computer. re-install Vue 4 Pro where you want. I cannot be helpful for your Poser Pro pack, because I don't have it. See what happens, when you have installed Vue 4 pro again. Guitta

Guitta,I still have a problem! It installed OK(including Rendercow and Mover)opened once.Installed update and I rebooted,now it won't open at all.I am going crazy with this program! Can you advise anymore? arrow1

Oh my! I'm clueless in this case. I think you only can report this one (please VERY detailed to get a quick help) to te e-onsoftware support. Please explain every thing you have done, say that you use Poser Pro Pack, if you have installed it before Vue or after, your OS and all the other details. I'm so sorry it will not work:-( and even more sorry not to be able to help out here. Guitta

I'd thik I'd look in the respective forlders for *.tmp files or even sort the directory by date and look at the last files created to determine if there temp files and move them somewhere else to see if that's the goofup. I've had this problem before and that's how I fixed it. Also Select all files in folders and check propeties and remove if it's there the read only attribute.

Good News! I deleted eveything involved with Vue4Pro,Downloaded all the CD'S to my hardrive and reinstalled.I also installed Mover.So far the program has opened six times succesfully.I haven't installed Render Cow yet! as I don't know how to use it.I have two machines linked via a router.If anyone could advise me on how to use and setup Render Cow it would be appreciated as the Manual doesn't seem to cover linking via routers.Once again thank you all! arrow1

Just a regular network router? Install the cows in both computers and render something with with HyperVue radio button checked on ( render dialog box). A dialog box comes up and you click add - type the network name of the boxes you want the cows to render on (or their ip address) and check the radio button for the computer and you're good to go! Both computers. To find name of computer Right click on My Computer icon on desktop. Go to properties and right click and when panel comes up click on computer name tab. Name is on this tab. Sorry I'm late, I was gone a couple days Bot
