Subject: Trying to create texture for coin

I'm trying to make a coin out of the Poser cylinder by flattening its height. I have a coin texture and a trans map that masks out the border around the coin, but when I render I get a sort of "halo" around it. If I flatten it completely (yScale 1%) the halo goes away. Is there any way to texture the cylinder that would let me have the heads and tails on the top and bottom, plus have the ridges on the sides, and without the halo effect when there's any height to the cylinder?

Use UV Mapper by Steve Cox (available in the freestuff/utilities) In it select:- file/new model/cylinder then:- edit/new uv map/cylindrical cap then:- alignment X, map size 1024 (or atleast 500),zero offsets and rotation, select gaps in map but not scale result. then:- file/save texture map, file/save model. In this way you can draw both the heads, tails and edge milling on your coin. If only printing money was this easy :) PhilC www.philc.net
