Well...This Looks Better..I Think. Still Not Happy With it. I Hate To Keep Asking, But Are The Strands Small Enough? Do I Need To Make The Trans Strands Smaller? Larger? The Main Problem I Am Running Into Is That There Is No Inherant .obj For the Hair. So, If I Move Parts Around On The UVMap It Would Not Fit Correctly, Right? So i Am Left Trying To Texture it With Curls Built Into The Map. Still Trying.....Thanks For All The Help So Far.

I think the hair looks good. Again I would add another layer of hair over this to give it some fullness.. Maybe the strands do need to be thinner they look a little big in these views. You are getting closer though. Storm

I agree with Stormrage. -DL

I know nothing about hair texturing but applaud you in your efforts. (Hope that atleast keeps you form becoming discouraged.) This does look like an improvement over your last though so I think you are making headway (ooops - pardon the slip of the pun)! Rob

I am so glad someone is trying to do this. I've tried and dismally failed. I agree wlth everyone above. It's really coming along. Maybe a little too transparent (I can see her scalp through it), and maybe the ends look a little like they're glued together, like there's a border around the ends. They need to be separated a bit, but this is fabulous. I think it's way overdue that someone's tried to fix the plastic hair. Keep it up! We need you. Melanie

Why Thank You Melody. Thanks Everyone On The Support. I Keep Trying.

You can make the hair use an object file if you want (so you can remap or whatever): Save the hair as an object file using the regular Poser export object option, deselect all other item when the list come up, save as a morph target (I'm assuming the hair is only one group here, if it is more don't weld the seams!). Then either modify the existing HR2 file to point to it as shown below, or save it as a prop and rename the PP2 (?) to a HR2 file and move it into the right library, and modify it (also) as below. { version { number 4.01 } prop figureHair { storageOffset 0 0 0 objFileGeom 0 0 :Runtime:Geometries:hair:new:bobbed hair.obj } prop figureHair { name bobbed hair on.... *********************************** You have to cut out all the stuff in the original, basicly the geometry is now in the object, not the the HR2 file. Incidently, this is how Zygote does props, if you have their Vickie hair you can look at the HR2 file as a (better) example. You seem to know what your doing, the above is sort of the "short" version, does it make any sense at all?

Thanks Jim. I Did, In Fact, Originally Export The Hair As an Object And Unchecked All The Boxes In The List. The Map Seems To Fit Okay On The Original .hr2 File Whitout Having To Change The Original File. Now, As Far As Me Seeming To Know What I Am Doing, Well....Looks Can Be Deceiving. I Think I May Have Picked a Larger 1st Project Than I Can Handle, But I'm Still Trying. I Have a 4th Version That Is Similar To The One Above After Copying And Layering A Second Time. Not Worth Posting Cause it Looks Only Slightly Thicker. However, I Thought Of Painting Certain Areas That Are Broken Up From The Map So I COuld See Exactly Where They Fit. This Helped a Bit Since I Can Now See Where Some Of Them Actually Go. I Think I May Be Able to Get Rid Of Some Of The Painting Surfaces, But That's Still In Experimentation. At Least I Have a Better Idea Of The Layout. Granted, If I Could Modify The Map And LAy It Out So i COuld Paint It Better That Would Be Ideal. However, It Has No Object And Is Only An .hr2 File. So i Think I Am Kind Of Stuck Using What I Get As a Map. Also I Have Not Talked To Who Originally Made The Hair And I Don't Want To Change His Hair, Just Want To Give It a Good Trans. Not That I COULD Change His Hair Mind You, I'm Not That Good. As Far As Saving It As A Prop, Well, It WOuld Lose It's Morphs Then. So I'd Like To Try And Map It As Is. Thanks For The Help!
