The MarketPlace Wishing Well F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Sep 21 3:40 pm)
Have an idea for a MarketPlace product? Would you like to let the MarketPlace Merchants know?
This is the place!
Make sure you check The Product Showcase Forum and The Product Showcase Art Gallery.
Shiollie, nobody can create posable people for Vue, except in Poser, Max or other high end software. And then you need the named software to be able to import the figures in Vue. These are normal copyright issues. Have a look around in your stores for computer magazines. Poser 3 was given away for free about everywhere in the world on a CD with magazines. See this thread: http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=770672 Maybe you can get an old issue. I have a free version of Poser 3, but it is in French language. If somebody wants it, I can send the CD. Vue is not able to import pz3 from Poser 3, but we oldies were used to import -at that old time- Poser figures into Vue as OBJ files:-)
Thanks to everyone so far for the responses so far! These are all great ideas. People are not impossible, but with the availablity of Poser, the question is why? Still, it does pose a tempting challenge ;-) Trees/flowers/shrubs - Especially shrubs (IMHO). There's probably always room more vegitation (native or importable). PS Somebody give gebe a big hug, she deserves it. My inexperience and ignorance here at Renderosity has no doubt tried her patience on several occasions, but she has been nothing but kind and accomodating. Thanks Gebe.
More trees. There are hardly any available. We need more evergreens. Pines and such. And tropical plants. And fruit trees. An apple tree, with blossoms as well as fruit (though not as the same time ;-). I'd love some fantasy plants, too. A mallorn tree, a la LOTR, with silver bark and golden leaves?
Dunno how your programming skills are, but my genie-in-a-lamp wish is for a 3rd party utility that builds SolidGrowth 2 vegetation for import to Vue 4. SolidGrowth stuff is awesome, but I really don't want to fork out for Vue Pro to have the ability to create it myself. I'd like a cheaper way of doing it. On the more easily achieved side of things, I'd consider buying a pack of good procedural (not image based) vue 4 materials. Where models are concerned, I figure a model is a model and since Vue imports many formats I don't feel any need for Vue specific models.

I'm afraid the SolidGrowth programming is just a bit out of my reach right now (not completely, I have done some 3-D geometrics programming, but not that in-depth). However, the PROCEDURAL TEXTURES :-) are another story! At this very moment, I am putting the final touches on a set of 50 completely procedural materials (NO PICS USED) for Vue 4. It includes an entire set of rust materials, old glass, dirty tires, stages of rusting chrome and brass, along with a few clean mats (the "before they rusted" versions). be looking for them in about a week. Renderosity has to test them first, of course. Thanks for the feedback :-)
That sounds like the sort of thing I could be interested in :-)

I'm in the process of developing my Renderosity store and am curious as to what Vue users feel may be missing that you would just love to see made available, free or for sale. As a genie would say, "What do you wish for most?" Thanks, BountifulKnight
