...with no post work. I don't think I have EVER mentioned this in the forum, never occured to me, and I don't know if this little Bryce tip ever came up anywhere, but; The Waters Edge - A GREAT way to blur the line between your land and your water is to use a primitive (Cylinders are great) for your "water" and in the Materials Lab, specify that the mat you use is "Fuzzy" in the Material Options.

This way instead of that hard 3D line where your water meets the land, you'll get...

...something WAY better. It doesn't work in all situations, but its worth a shot when you make a scene that has land and water. Doesn't seem to work with terrains. AgentSmith

Did you try it with "solid" terrains?

I should have said doesn't seem to work WELL with terrains. A "Solid" terrain will take the Fuzzy mat, but it can be hard to place it in the scene (vertically). All depends on the scene too. AS

Good stuff, AS, that's always been one of my problem areas! And no amount of reeds seems to help, these days...

Thanks for the tip, I never thought about using fuzzy objects that way. I was playing with it and managed to get a nice glow effect out of it, too!

Oops...sorry for the delay, here's the .zip for anyone that wants my water from up there. Not truly that special, and kinda Kb big, (I used a picture texture for a bump map). Enjoy! (363Kb). AgentSmith
