Subject: cannot figure out install

Just got Car3. Cant figure out how to move the objects from the content CD so they show up in the object browser. Also when I try to load presets for the NPR it says I need to load the wizard from disk. How? I did a complete install.

Not sure about the wizard issue. When it comes to content in the CD, I always open it like a regular file and then drag the object up into the browser. -Kix

I've never been able to figure out that wizard issue either. I think Eovia just forgot something.

Copy the object folders that you want into the presets/object folder. Then with Carrara running go to the object browser and choose" add new folder". Navigate to the folder you just copied. For loading scenes with the Wizard go to File/open wizard and choose the preset. You can also copy your own scene files into the scene folder in Carrara folder ; Carrara/scene folder/user. You can then load them with the wizard. What does NPR stand for?

Response from Carrara Tech Support. (Yes, there actually is a software company out there that responds to technical questions!!) "This is a bug in Carrara Studio 3 as there we no presets included with Carrara... "There are currently no presets for the NPR renderer in Carrara Studio 3. This was a feature that was not implemented in Carrara Studio 3. We are considering adding the presets in a future version of Carrara Studio. However, you can create your own preset files by saving your settings. "
