Subject: How to keep different hair objects stay where they are while I pose my figures?

First of all I apologize if this is an often asked question, but I am really at the end of my wits (when coming to Poser, there's not much there, anyway...) trying to keep different hair objects (in either the format of CR2 or HR2) stay where they are while I pose the models... Should I use the figure parent setting function (when it's a .CR2 file), or simply point at the figure's head (when it's an .HR file), or there's some other way to do it? And, how can I save a figure with proper conforming features? Many thanks in advance for any help... Teyi

You can either Conform them to the figure, or Parent them. Sometimes it's a good idea to Lock the hair, too.

Try this: Select the hair, from the Object menu Lock Actor.

If your hair is a prop, applying poses to the main figure can often send the hair flying off the head. The easiest way to restore it is to use ctrl-e (Edit> restore element). After you use 'Lock actor', it'll stay where it is. mac

Damn!! I just now find this out. Will save me hours of FRUSTRATION!! Than you :-)

BTW, the reason the hair flys off - is because when you save a Pose, the hair (prop) pose information is saved too, but it may be a different hair prop than you were using when you last saved the pose. If you are selling (or giving away even) a pose set, you should not have any hair attatched when you create the poses, or manually go in and remove the additional pose info.
