I get strange shadow artifacts in DS alpha 0.8.18.3! Any ideas? Mazak

Try updating your video drivers...

This is a rendered picture... nothing to do with OpenGL drivers. Mazak

Mazak- answered this over in DAZ forum but the short of it was this seems to be a problem with activating the enable shadows button on any light. At least that's what I have found in Mac. IM me if you need. -jay

Um... Yea, AFAIK, activating the enable shadows button on any light is how you get shadows to render right now. Shadows rendered ok for me w/ the last release, but D|S evaporated when the render was complete. Now, D|S does not evaporate, but it has the artifacts in the render instead.

A new release is now available for download in the account screen. One of the fixes -- render artifacts.....

I saw that too when I was working with the MilCat. I had to go through my lights and turn the shadows off.

The black spots problem is fixed in new release 0.8.19.0 ! WOW... that was fast See picture Mazak
