Dynamic hair is intended to be shaded using the hair shader, not a texture file, and certainly does not require transmaps. That said, if you want them, give me a few days and then bug me over at rdna and I'll get ya some :) But ya gotta tell me what colors you want!
thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)
Question for you related to that: Are you using hair you downloaded, and, if so, how long on average does it take to load for you? Is it more than say a couple seconds? If so, then there is a fix for that -- dynamic hair can, and should, load within five seconds at the outside. I will provide MAT files, btw, as well as shaders, and even an explanation of how to apply them :)

Give me a bit to see about my fix, hon -- I need to know if I can post it, as the work was done for someone else. I've begun your mats -- check in the Poser 5 forum at runtime DNA in a couple days for them, and possibly the fix as well :)

I spend an hour trying to figure out how to do something I think should have been simple in poser 5, change the color of an dynamic hair model, well no it was not easy, I down loaded textures from two site and thought that would solve the problem, no uh uh, the files were in mz something format and were not mat files, when I applied them to hair sure the hair changed color and the strands looked great but the skull cap the underlayer hair that the strands attac to looke like crap, it lost all its transparency values and no longer even remotly looked like hair, more like a cloth under a wig.... I then attempted to play around with the paint tool and that did nothing to help. I figure it must be a trans map but why is applying a texture to turn the hair black effecting the stupid trans map? Mat files for dynamic hair please im tired of messing with this.....
