Just wanted to show my ongoing efforts to make the best product I ever made and wanted to hear your opinion. After a lot of good advice from this community, I did completely rework the modular Claw Hall Base Pak. It will consist only of 4 props, which can be shaped in a lot of different ways by SET files and textured differently by MAT files. Just a quick P4 render to show the actual state. Banners, Ceiling and Floor parts can be switched on and off independently. Claws can be resized/removed with morphs. This is the default texture set.

This is the alternative texture set I created. Just have to finish the balcony element and adapt the files to Poser5. Then I will send it to the testers ;-)

It looks really nice but why are there white (or glowing?) edges in the shadows?

Tintifax ( ) posted Tue, 03 February 2004 at 4:33 PM

Thanks for your kind comments. the glowing edges are due to the shadow maps of the P4 render engine as far as I know. They only show with global lights and on polygon edges that are not connected to the next one. Just put a tile behind the wall and they are gone. Didn't do that for this quickie. - Walter
