Fractals F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Aug 27 11:19 am)
It seems one has to restrain oneself from viewing and commenting or from creating... There are days when viwing eats up my free time... So I have to decide what I can do in the evening.
:rolleyes::sad:

I'm like you guys just seems to be so many wonderful renders I know myself it takes a good 2 hours to go through each one I think one of the reasons we have so many to go through it appears even with one post per day there are a lot of new members unfortunately its either skip a few or make shorter comments which really isn't very fair and I must thank those who do make comments if I don't I always feel so guilty for not personally thanking someone who has taken there time to be kind enough to make a comment.. woe is me never enough hours in the day. Oh sure I could do without the eating part oops meant sleeping part lol :) not sure what to do. without feeling guilty at least. If any one has an idea please pass it along to me cause I need helppppppppp.
I'm in the same boat. Like classyladytwo, I prefer to thank everyone personally, but then there isn't much time left for learning, rendering, and commenting. I don't have to deal with 24kb (ouch shood!) but I do work, and share my computer with 2 teenagers. I think I'm going to have to discontinue my personal thank you's for the time being. I'm just not seeing any other way at the moment. :(
I was allways wondernig how do you manage to comment all the images an also thank for every comment others make on your images, beacouse i simply can't. I do try to comment every work posted though i know sometimes i'm short not saying everything the image is worth, but that way i can at least go through whole gallery coz every image posted is so unique and special that deservest at least one word that say so. For now that is all that time permits me.
I spend a couple hours every morning trying to go through the gallery and if the site is slow (like this morning), it just becomes too unmanageable. Sometimes I only have time to just check out the Hot20 and I know I miss some great art. Ouch Stan! I'm on DSL but there are times when this site is slow you'd think I was on 24kb. Arleen
There are a lot of things worse than dying, being afraid all the time would be one.
I'm on cable and this place can be as slow as a snail many times a day. I suspect it's because of the many artists and lurkers in here...many are uploading, many are posting all at the same time. It boggles my mind when I think of what a huge system RO must have to handle this all. Time-wise..I do the best I can. I try to answer all comments on my images, but simply cannot anymore. I've even had to cut down reading and posting on the forums. Sure wish there were two of me. :-)
My dial up is currently running at 28.8! That's light speed compared to it's normal 24.8. I haven't put any new pieces in the gallery because I feel that if I can't comment on other's work, maybe I shouldn't be asking for comments on mine. It's a no win situation. I'd give anything for a few hours to look through each day.
Ditto, ditto, and more ditto. Thank God for DSL. Every time I think I have a good graphic, I post it, check others and my heart sinks because it looks just average compared to everyone elses. There are a TON of great artists here. Writing thank you's for every post is difficult. Forgive me if you feel snubbed if I didn't, but five difficult electronic courses at school kills me for time.
Yes, I agree with you all! It definately seems as if not a lot of time left after posting comments. I am trying to learn to prioritize. I do not thank for every comment, even though they are all very much appreciated. I think that we all understand. I do try to send thanks to at least the comments for one image that I post a week...hope that I haven't left anyone out. I refuse to quit commenting on others art, it gives me great pleasure to view them and I love to let the artist know. I think all that we need is a little forgiveness, and flexibility. And I think our community has that plus. Thanks to all of the wonderful comments...let me thank you here now!! Take care and happy fractaling to all! With Love and endearment Treena

Is this just happening to me?....Between playing with the odd Apo image and playing with Terragen...I just can't keep up with viewing and commenting on 65+ new fractals and 40+ Terragen images per day. I'm sure I've missed a ton of beauties....but....I'm trying my best to keep up.
