Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 26 1:43 pm)
Been reading all these, just thought I'd pass this on..
a lot of these I recognize..thought don't have any experience with..but I thought some of you might want to know that there are actual emulation programs that will turn your PC into a machine of yesteryear (I know for a fact there's one for Commodore 64's, Atari 800's, Vic 20's, and I think I've even seen a 370..(mainframe)..I don't have web sites for them, but if you do a search on 'emulator's', they should turn up..just doing my part. So if you want to take a trip down memory lane (and really tie up your PC)..I thought I'd pass it on.
I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

Let's see, I got my first computer 4 years ago, and I knew absolutely nothing about them! Got my second computer 2 years later. Been using poser for about 3 years, and I'm going to be 48. SO you are never to old to learn :)

I bought Poser3 about 4 or 5 yrs ago but never played with it until P4 came out. I'll be 40 in April and I started using computers in '86 when I was 22 - although I remember having to fill out punch cards for certain tests and even seeing the machines that these punchcards would be put into, then cut, and then fed into another machine to process the data. That was in the early 70's. I think we went on a class trip to see "computers". As an aside, I'm surprised to see that we're all older than I thought and would have expected. I guess we're just young enough not to be totally freaked out by a computer and old enough to find what it can do like magic. Dave
I'm so old, I forgot the question.... Got my first computer, an Atari 800, back in 1980 or so... Began using Poser whenever version 1 came out...haven't improved my work since :) Oh..I'll be 54 on April 4th.... Just took a new job...am in the process of moving...starting a new life basically...you're never too old... makes it all interesting and exciting...

Started using Poser about 3 years ago. Started programming in machine code in 1964, when I was 14 (I am 53, soon to be 54). Started teaching myself 3D graphics in 1968 when I was working at Control Data (as a college student). My first computer was in 1974, a Bally Z80 game console that had a Tiny Basic cartidge. I still have that, plus my TRS-80 Model I, Commodore Vic 20 and 64, Atari 600, 800, and 1040 ST systems. Currently working on my third PC system. I actually work as a software engineer, so I have never had a chance to stop learning. I actually get paid for what I love to do!!
