Subject: HOW DO I MAKE MAT FILES FOR DYNAMIC CLOTHES ?

sekhet ( ) posted Tue, 17 February 2004 at 10:39 AM · edited Tue, 24 December 2024 at 7:02 AM

I have Pro Mat Builder & Mat Poser. I can`t get them to load a pp2. file. Is there a way to make Mat pose files for dynamic clothes? I converted the S3 Fantasy Dress no more dealing with trying to make it cover her legs.

To the best of my knowledge, you can't make a mat file for a prop. And dynamic clothes are essentially props. So, Sorry, no you can't do that.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

That`s what I was afraid of. Thanks

MAT files can be applied to props, if the props are parented to a figure.

You can manually set up the materials for the dress in P5, save it back to the Prop Library, and then load the textured prop into MAT Pose Edit 3 (which has prop support) to create a new MAT pose.

Ah yes, the parenting trick. I allways forget about that one. Thanks for reminding me, Little_Dragon :o)

Didn't Netherworks make a python script that made matfiles for figures and props? I think you have to parent it to a null figure.
