i am getting an error message when i try to import a scene into vue. i wonder if anyone else has run into this. it just started last week. i am using poser 5( with latest upgrade) and vue 4.2 (with latest upgrade). i tried reinstalling vue and it worked at first with a sphere. didnt try it again till today with 2 poser figure. thanks in advance

i tried it with a tree prop. it worked. i am baffled. i wonder if there is a poser file size limit on importing. the 2 figure file was 65 mg. the tree was only 102k

There are limitations with some types of geometries or props attached to a poser object. Vue also doesn't react well sometimes to scenes with multiple figures. When this kind of error shows up, you can try making copies of your poser scene with less and less objects included. When the scene is finally imported, that will give you a hint about what caused the error. Sometimes it is as simple as saving a prop and importing it separately.

But I've got the same problem since the latest beta upgrade, and I used to be able to import the same things before. Now the PZ3s don't come in. Love esther

I don't have any problems with Poser5 imports at all. One thing you could try is to split the scene into two or thre parts and import them seperately. This is just an idea, but it might work. :) Cheers, Phil

Hmm, the poser scene I'm trying to import is only 1.5 megabytes. YOu can import that sort of size all in one can't you Phil? Love esther

wrpspeed: looking at your error message, I'd say it's a path problem. Desktop and My Documents can be useful places to put files you want to keep tabs on, but in my experience they just don't work properly if that file contains relative paths to other files upon which they're dependent. Try saving an MS Excel sheet in Desktop when it has links to others, it'll never find its links. Poser files contain links to external geometry and texture files, if they're not on the desktop too, it won't find them. Save your file somewhere in the Poser runtime for best chance of success!
