the water sky everything is 3D and based on reflections, bump maps, displacement maps.. no photos was used for textures.. and are pure 3D Poser5 renders. You can create ice, feezen water, buble on water and everything you only image..without Bryce or Vue.. and rendering time?? one minute per image on FireFly and best settings.. the speed is amazing and you don't have to export anything this time.. I am really exciting about it as you see.. YES!!! thanks to my other project I finally find the option for the outdoor effect. I will preapre everything with instruction and scenes on separate pages very soon so you can download .. Cath

Thank you :)) this looks more and more amazing when I try new things out with maps.. I just got effect simulate also the waves on the water .. just surprised of the effect. If you don't know what it is.. The Universe is a prop that simulate the real world around the scene, something as cyclorama but from all sides included the top of the scene what allow to render real reflection in any position of the camera, it is very low prop ball and everything else just right surface and textures but not photo so the reflections and everything else are rendered in real time depended of the camera angle or the position of the sun.. yes you can also simulate the sunrise and sunset, the color of the skies what you wish.. :) cool and so primitive.. simple is beautiful When I am finish with all maps tonight I will let you know.. this take little bit with the skies but this have to be done right for right effect.. tonight or tomorrow you can play with everything and try out self.. for those that download and try to change the sky-ball just get to poser material room and select from the props { sky-ball} then textures.. there you can change the material textures but please not the node.. is important to keep this as is.. see you later!! cath

Catharina, This reminds me of when folks got comfortable with Poser 4 and began exploring its nooks and crannies and inventing new things to do with it. Looks like fun! Elisa

xantor ( ) posted Fri, 27 February 2004 at 2:00 PM

cath, if you have uvmapper pro you can load the r2d2 object into it and do split vertices and resave it. That fixes the nasty rounded edges in the object.

xantor ( ) posted Fri, 27 February 2004 at 2:02 PM

These newer pictures look great and it is nice that you are doing this for free.

I think tomorrow everything will up and for sure you have something new to play with.. and yes for free... why not.. this is fun I wish you have fun too together with me.. Xantor.my R2D2 is hihg resolution detalied model.. the above was quick render without to set the surface correct just to put something into the scene to get you an idea.. :)) you don't believe me??? see picture above lol and I use only DeepUV 2.1

Thanks :) forgot to tell you.. you know what for surprise I was talking about? the universe what you see is only half of this party.. in the next step you get the underwater effect in most realistic look.. and that is fun! ahhaha yes real cool effect you can animate or render 2 worlds in a little poser scenes.. but this for little later... couple of days I think Cath

wish to show you this fragment of the water movement.. it scale very good the little waves.. also reaction by the figure how more to the center so intensive the waves.. I created animated bump maps textures for this effect.. last days my favorites.. also tested bigger waves with top effect.. this is not finished yet animation but i can't wait ... you need Quick Time Player.. files size: 3.5 MB 640x480 I hope you like the effect, no post work and pure Poser5. Cath, I am having so much fun! Big Thank you and *hugs* For doing this! I have never been able to do reflections! Now if I can figure out how to make it look like water, I will be so thrilled! Here is my attempt, to make it look somewhat like water, not great but so much fun!

oh that is fun!!!! love it!! thanks for sharing.. you know what you need to do? plug into the ball a turbulence 3Dtexture node but not to high value this will help you for sure... I will finish the skies so it will looks better as the standard Poser5 clouds.. you can also plug into the ball (bump) a grayscale image, just paint soft over on black background .. or wait I have something for you.. plug it as bump map for the ball on the middle where your hipo is inside, this will everything you need to do.. with this map I created the effect of the animation too but was animated bump map

I don't did this in my elephant animation and great effect too. the problem are the clouds are well little to heavy for the scene but I was not ready with my new textures that tomorrow you have for sure and many too ... here try out this one.you can use also with displacement on 1000 to get the volume on..

the original is 4000 and this is just to play with before tomorrow :)) some seams on top but tomorrow you get everything as needed, don't like to share it this way but can't see the clouds of P5.. lol Sallie, replace the new sky textures.. sellect the sky-ball prop ...plug it into the Alternate diffuse. everything need to be black.. only alternate diffuse need to white , no specular nothing.. you can see it in the technical poser scene how to do this right... and again we go out the screen.... lol
