Mac, yes, that's typical behavior -- P5, like Propack, doesn't use the rsr files. It uses png files. And the materials folder is to store any materials you create in the material room in. You can also store anything you set up in the material room there, including lighting effects and so forth. It creates one there in case you save something while you are active in that runtime. And I'd like to thank you for suffering with us all through these last few months and being willing to try these tips and tricks. You've done your fair share in P4 yourself!
thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)
Thanks, ynsaen. That's pretty much what I figured. Bit of a pain having pngs and rsrs all over the place, but life's a bitch and then you die, right? As for me suffering..... well, I did feel bad for all the poor people tearing their hair out over P5, but not half as bad as they felt! LOL. I'm just glad poser users are a tough bunch. It'll take more than a half-assed beta that crashes every few minutes to beat us! No, seriously, I'm not a CL basher. I think they made some bad judgement calls on P5 and my faith in CL is at a low ebb, but I'm sure they'll get over the bad patch. mac
A slightly easier way to calculate the colour values (in windows) is to use the calculator: Enter Red value, mult by 256, add Green value, mult by 256, add Blue value = result. (Saves having to remember that 256 x 256 = 65536) :-)) Cheers, Diolma (Not that I could forget - I've been a a programmer for more years than I care to remember.. <256 though..)
Ive been trying to figure out how to change the library colors and text too, but thus far have been unsuccessful.

I did change the color of the folders. (27100_library.psd) but not the text or background.

.... in my linked P4 Runtime. I assume this is typical P5 behaviour. Correct? It also created a Materials folder in the P4 libraries. What's that about? Anyway, 15 months after I bought it, I've now installed P5 c/w SR4 and it works fine (so far). I got rid of Content Parasite, changed my UI color and killed the UI gradient, so it's reasonably pleasant to look at, at least. I've opened a few of my own P4 figures and they're fine. I took one look at Judy and...... well, let's just say I now understand why DAZ is so successful. She won't win any beauty competitions, that's for sure. mac PS Thanks to all those brave souls who endured the rocky first versions of P5 and posted all the tips to make it usable.
