Hi all. Maximus is going well. Still no texture but I can finalize the UV's after I mirror all the morphs and such. Working on morphs. Taking my time to get it all right. I really want people to feel he wasn't rushed our they are being spammed. Once I am done with all the morphs then I can do final textures and then support stuff. At the point where I am ready to start on clothes and such I will hopefully have my site ready and will do a formal announcement for brokers and those sites that want to support him and how people can get the files for such. So don't worry if you have contacted me already. Not quite ready yet. My site will likely open first. I have not set finalized where Maximus will be sold through. SO more info will come later. Regardless of where that is, whether through my own site or elsewhere, my site will be an info hub for him with links to freebies, products on the web(by me or other people, tutorials, etc. So regardless of the store you sell through there will eb a way for me to drive traffic to you through my own site. Great great. I will be providing tutorials and sevelopment resources to aid in people making products and to help them make products that work as well as possible. I will either incuded these files with him or have them for free download off my site. Do you think I will be able to get renderosity to add a section for him in Freestuff? Currently only Daz's Mil People have their own categories. Perhaps a enough new figures exist to have more categories than just the mil people? Regards, Anton

Vey nice looking lol. You know what i like about maximus the most though is he looks fleshy even in default tones. Doesnt look well non fleshy like m3 does he looks like he actually has flesh on bones or something. i dont know maybe it is just me lol.

Neo10, I think this is what M3 SHOULD have looked like but someone dropped the ball.

Looks Great... everytime I try giving M3 a chance, I just give up and go back to M2. I hope you have plans for a good wardrobe for him.

ooh i like m3 dont get me wrong. Just i see in maximus things i dont have in m3 . I think m3 and maximus will compliment each other to tell the truth. And i must echo xenas earlier coment i love the torso.

Thanks, I have many different base styles planned that will be widely compatible with shaping morphs to avoid compounded morph distortion widely seen in the current market. Basically, instead of making Full Body morphs from shaping morphs and then just selling both, the Full body morphs and shaping morphs are created from scratch independent of each other. I aslo have an approach to making morphs which make them work better at various settings and combinations. Maximus' cr2 is different than Mil design so people will need to get used to some new things. Some will be harsh in their reactions. Others will see them as innovations. Good with the bad and all that crap. hehe Anyway, Back to work. Thansk again

hmm sorta i know lol. On one of the dvd's he takes his shirt off to show the scar on his back from the back injury that a year before he got the roll as legolas they didnt even know if he would walk again. Course cut to a year later not only is he walking but he is doing his own stunts to lol

Will I be able to make him look a little like the Freak? I have M3 and no matter how I play with the morph dials I just can't make him look like a really big guy like the freak does. Love esther ps good work!

Yeah I will have a practically cartoon-like huge morph but in my own style.

i think he's looking great!!! he has a nice body shape,both front and back ;) looking forward to his release :D BTW if you need a volunteer for the Orlando Bloom pics with no shirt i can have my camera packed in half an hour if you can locate him ;)

One thing... if that is his default face, it doesn't quite fit with his body... the face is too round, indicative of someone with around 20% body fat, whereas the body (epsecially the abs) are more indicative of someone with around 10%... although with less muscle tone on the arms and legs. As it is, he looks like he had surgery to remove part of the skin covering his abs... I forget the name of the surgery. Just a note. Hehe... personally, I'm at around 14-15% body fat and my arms and legs are much more defined, but my abs are not. Especially on men, stomach is the last place you lose it generally.

actually oookami you could have 3% body fat and still have a full face, I think he's looking great. Be so nice to have a new male figure, hoping we can bulk him up if we need or want to, m3 was the biggest let down in the history of daz

In my experience working with fellow martial artists and bodybuilders..and working at the hospital here, if you drop below 5% body fat - TRUE 6%, not altered with surgery - your face starts looking hollow. His face isn't just full, it's "soft" looking. Still, I'm he will have lots of morphs and we will be able to play around with him. Anton's stuff is always first rate.

Hey thanks. The body morph above is one of the morphs. The head is the default. I plan to allow users to choose which heads morphs they want to use with each body morph. Thanks for the suggestions. I will keep that in mind while finishing the morphs. I am sure people can tweak to personal preference with the shaping morphs and such. There will be alot to choose from. Thanks again, Anton

Looking good, Anton! Love the deault head; he's cute! can't wait to see how your mesh handles your version of bodybuilder and the more "extreme" body shaping morphs. Do post some "ethnicity" face morphs when available. Cheers!

Anton, I think Ookami hit the nail on the head with hollowness of the cheeks. However, this is not just for bodybuilders. The face is a little too young for that particular body morph. I will send you some pics. I have to say that what we have seen already is much better development than M3 IMHO. Keep up the good work :) PapaBlueMarlin

Thanks. As I said that head isn't a morph it is the default. Just showing the body to show I am working on morphs. :) You can choose/shape whatever head you want.

Sorry for knocking the browser window sideways. Here is a WIP of one of the bigger morphs.

about the penis. It is larger my default so that when scaled, and posed, the proper skin compression effect is achieved. Also better joint parameters and more segments were better on a longer shaft. So it made more sense to start with a larger state that will be scaled smaller and posed down when it loads.

Also I was purposely avoiding putting to many specific details in the base Full Body Morphs so people could customize them better with shaping morphs with less distortion than other figures. That make sense?

what is the texturing going to be like on Maximus? similar to M2, V2 with head and body seperate, or more like V3 etc with one main texture and seperate eyes and fingernails. I ask cause I know you worked with V3 a lot and the V3-Male and figure you have a idea of what was good/bad in the development and was curious about how your were going to layout Maximus. Model is looking very cool so far, very natural and smooth.

I think you have those reveresed. Currently I am thinking -Body with nails(male figure doesn't need nails seperate) -Head -Teeth,Tongue,Gums -Brows and lashes -Bodyhair trans

Very impressive:) Anton, I left you a couple emails with some images. As far as texture sources, there are some sold through 3d.sk and some of those sets are also sold here. They are by Levius. I don't know whether you use photoshop and uv maps to texture or whether you use Cath's technique and paint the object file in Z-brush.

Anton, this looks great and I'm looking forward to see all the full body and shaping morphs. I would also like to know if you are going to include all the facial/etnicity morphs versatility that V3 had, but is missing in the latest generation 3 figures. Also could you include alternate geometry limbs and beast morphs so he could become a fantasy character? Anyway from these preview Maximus is going to became my primary male figure... Staby
