Subject: Well now... I know where I truly belong!

I hope I can make myself understood as I have a terrible time putting my thoughts into words these days. So please bear with me. I started my Renderosity experience in the Bryce realm and later took a hiatus from it for quite sometime and started producing my Fractal art which got many comments that surprised me as I thought I would not get any at all. LOL Well, after months of doing Fractals, I just uploaded another Bryce pic which I thought was pretty good and have gotten many views but no comments at all. The exact opposite of my fractal images. So my darling kidletts, I'm going to stick to fractals for the rest of my career here as this is what the masses seem to enjoy better from me. I love you all and happy fractaling!! hugs Helen

Well i had the same experience but i have to say i'm new to bryce so my stuff is.....odd. so i didn't blame anyone but the response thing really does help to keep someone motivated to work harder on a program and without any input it makes for a lonely artist... sigh. (((hug))) welcome to my world. hahaha v

Well I'm glad you chose the frac gallery as your new homebase! I also started out in Bryce and if you peek at the very last page of my gallery you'll see you arent alone in being almost completely ignored in the Bryce gallery. ;) The fractalists are the nicest and most helpful people Ive ran across out of the communities I've posted in...those being Bryce,Poser,2-d,Mixed-Media and Beginner. Hugs right back atcha! :) ~Alison

Thank you my sweeties. Well, I got a couple of comments on my newest Bryce. LOL!! I agree the fractal community is fabulous- such kind and thoughtful people here. I immediately know which scenes I produce go over. The ones that don't, I will tend to stay away from. :-) hugs Helen

See, I'm sure its not on purpose... and I think also that when I need improvement in my 3d work (hahaha which is EVERY TIME) people would rather say nothing than to point out needed improvements... so I think that is also a factor. I don't hold it against anyone but I'd love to get better at bryce. I am pretty determined to do so... so if any of you would like to email back and forth I don't mind doing that either... I understand your feelings. It can be a little disturbing to receive a lot of views and hardly any comments. (Happens to me in Bryce gallery too, but not exclusively.) Especially when you specifically request suggestions for improvements. It's hard to figure out what causes the lack of comments. I think with Bryce...it takes a loooong time to make an image so you feel like you've invested so much more effort into it or something. So maybe it's harder to stay motivated when you feel like your stuff isn't any good. But I just wanted to say that if you enjoy doing it, don't let the lack of comments stop you. Sometimes working on our weaknesses makes the rest of our artwork that much stronger too. I'm not great with 3D but it does help me with my 2D work, so I keep dabbling in it. Anyway, just wanted to suggest that you don't let something like what you experienced dictate what you do for enjoyment. :)

Thanks Indigo....however as much as I enjoy Brycing, I enjoy creating fractal scenes the best. Most of my work will be here. hugs and thanks to all Helen

But don't forget-- we do like mixed program 2D/3D/fractal pics here (unlike some other not-to-be-named fractal purist sites)--- so don't let the Brycing slide away completely! There are several of us that do them, and we all enjoy seeing them appear. grin

Well I'll do all of you if all of you do me. heh heh heh q-: I think the fractals are way cool and never cease to be amazed at how many different 'views' there are to be shown. (:

Remember the one that counts the most is one's self. You should dance and enjoy all programs that let you communicate visually your own thoughts to your self, and if others enjoy...well wonderful too! Smiles for you Ralph
