You have done amazing work on this model, she is stunning. 8)

GabrielK ( ) posted Thu, 04 March 2004 at 3:24 PM

Looks good unfortunately Polymage is a site that I can't browse. I've tried two separate browsers but neither will display the site. I think an option to browse the site in plain HTML would be nice.

Great work Neftis! :)

Thanks everyone! GabrielK: All you need is to update your flash version and you should be able to view the site. Here is a very quick test with eyeshadow... I hope to have time to finish the makeup texture this night. (another white night !!!LOL) Again thanks.

Oh, WOW does she look NICE! Looking forward to her, Neftis!

hauksdottir ( ) posted Thu, 04 March 2004 at 9:19 PM

Otherwise, this looks like yet another promotional ad, straight from a merchant to her intended audience. Carolly

Migal ( ) posted Fri, 05 March 2004 at 3:15 AM

Neftis, have you started the cr2 work, yet?

dolfijntjes ( ) posted Fri, 05 March 2004 at 6:06 AM

Can we still pay with paypal? I don't have a creditcard

Gareee ( ) posted Fri, 05 March 2004 at 7:05 AM

Carolly, the figure isn't even out yet. A number of us here have asked Neftis what her new figure is going to look like, and how far it's progress has been. As she even mentioned, she's been working on Elle for almost a year. It could be months before it's release (I actually expected it 2 months ago) And personlly, I don't really want to see a "product showcase" post that goes on for 2,3,4 months. Neftis actually release a new clothing set, and a new hair set for neftoon gal, about a month ago, and never mentioned it anywhere that I'm aware of. I just stumbled across them last night, looking for more Elle pics over at Polymage.

I think she looks fantastic! :o)

Jamesadactyle ( ) posted Fri, 05 March 2004 at 4:26 PM

Those eyes look amazing. Love the shape and the texture is fabu. cool beans.

catlin_mc ( ) posted Fri, 05 March 2004 at 7:43 PM

I never visit the product showcase which means I never see what's up and coming. People showing their work in the Poser forum is the only way I've seen anything I might consider buying, but since the forum rules have been changed I only see anything new when I get the Ro'sity news letter which doesn't give me time to think about it. I personally don't like the new setup and as was said by Gareee this item is not anywhere near being sold so I don't see why there should be a problem with Neftis showing her new model in the Poser forum at this time. Just my 0.02p Catlin

geep ( ) posted Fri, 05 March 2004 at 8:27 PM

Dr Geep agrees ... this is a (beautiful) WIP and, IMVHO, not a ploy for "free" advertising. I am glad it was posted (initially) in the Poser Forum or I probably would have never seen it. There, now you have my $.02, also. ;=[

Hmmm, a question just occurred to me ... If I plan to "productize" my tutorials sometime in the future, thus making them a WIP, should I be posting them in the Product Showcase Forum, also? cheers, (?) dr geep ;=?

You guys don't get it, do you? If there is a rule saying "no ads", then that rule must apply to all merchants touting their own wares. All merchants have been notified, especially those who keep violating this rule. I don't care if a merchant is sainted or loathed, if the product is pure gold or drek... if the post is an ad, it belongs in Product Showcase Forum. This post is clearly an ad. It even starts by saying that there are even more ways to pay for her products. An ad is an inducement to buy. This post is designed to get buyers salivating into their shoelaces. Fair is fair. Otherwise, you must allow all ads... and the Poser Forum would once again be swamped under piles and piles of the stinkiest, most flamboyant, and omnipresent spam. It would all flicker and bounce, too, just like those annoying banners. We have been swamped before, under pages and pages where most of the posts have been product announcements. Do you really want to be buried under spam again? Especially when there is a perfectly good forum for these posts? A forum where the merchant can put 20 images in a thread if she wants to? Where she can have just as much give and take, or enthusiastic support as she wants? Merchants are desperate in these tough economic times, but they must all play by the same rules. I have no respect for those who don't. Carolly

catlin_mc ( ) posted Fri, 05 March 2004 at 10:21 PM

Ok I see your point Carolly I wouldn't want to be swamped with spam, I get enough of that in my email. Geep if you do ever productize your tutorials could you send me an email...............I'd hate to miss any of your words of wisdom. 8) Catlin

GabrielK ( ) posted Sat, 06 March 2004 at 4:39 AM

Hey it's a good thing Renderosity really enforces their policies these days. If not, I might still be seeing product ads in the regular Poser galleries too. Oh wait never mind. Hmmm maybe people just honestly don't see the bright red line that reads: Please Do Not post "product preview" images to this gallery. Yeah, that must be it.

Letterworks ( ) posted Sat, 06 March 2004 at 7:39 AM

OH Carolly I think us "guys" are getting it more and more, which is why so many are finding other places to go! It isn't that message that grated on me as much as the sttitude that went with it. Sorry, this isn't an attack on you or anyone else, just a statement that this site seems to bring out the more hostile elements in people's personalities more and more, for some reason. If there are two ways to do something why take the nastier tone? In this case it would have been just as easy to move the thread and leave out the sarcastic remark. mike

Gareee ( ) posted Sat, 06 March 2004 at 8:07 AM

I agree, trav.. I've been making a concerted attempt to try to visit other sites, because there is no negativity at all. No problems with people posting WIP images, nothing like that at all. I still stop by to see if anything has been posted I need to know, but it's not like this is the only game in town, and I don;t need any negativity in my life. I actually spoke to Nefits on time on the phone.. she was supporting a problem I was having with Neftoon Gal.. and she actually called me from across the GLOBE to help me. IMHO product showcase should be for things that are just released and for sale... not for anything having to do with any product. and again, in Neftis's defense, she's been working on her gal for almosr a full year now, and it looks like she still has a few months of work before a release. I'm sure it's been killing her not to at least share her work with others in some form.

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

Jaesha ( ) posted Sat, 06 March 2004 at 6:24 PM

Hey Peeps, It's a Product Showcase; the name speaks for itself. If anyone wants to buy a product, or they want to see what could be out soon or in the future, The Product Showcase is the place to go and be. I didn't visit it much either until the "ad in the poser forum" confict came about. Now this is the first place I go when I sign in. Why overlook it, when it's the place all new products will be. Not just here but at all the other Poser sites. I just don't see the inconvenience. It's only 1 click, or 2 if you have your mouse set that way. Just trying to keep it all in perspective (real).

GabrielK ( ) posted Sat, 06 March 2004 at 7:47 PM

Hey this thread has already been moved to Product Showcase so as far as I'm concerned that's that. My issue now is with the fact that merchants are to this day, still posting promos in the Poser gallery despite a very clearly worded and visible statement asking them not to. Now I personally don't care if promos were allowed anywhich where. I can ignore them easily enough. But doesn't it seem unfair that some merchants abide by the rules while others skirt them? I think that's a sore point for a lot of folks and I don't blame em.

ynsaen ( ) posted Sun, 07 March 2004 at 6:36 AM

Those "ads" in the poser gallery will be moving as well -- give it a bit of time. No one likes change. For years, Renderosity allowed it because you know, it's easier to be forgiving. But now, with the traffic present, and the fact that people sorta abused that niceness, they have to be nice but firm. And, at this size, they just aren't, well, staffed to keep up with it. lol I've heard they're working on that end of things, and once they do, they'll get that poser gallery cleaned up. Now, as to the ACTUAL reason for this post: (lol) Neftis, that figure is, bluntly, incredible, hon. I am really impressed witht he overall shape and form of it -- I think she's definitely much, much cuter than neftoon, and I like her as well. And, given your other skills, I think this will be a figure I will somehow scrape my pennies together to buy. Any chance of seeing a bit more of the figure than just this teenie peek? pretty please? I'll even add chocolate sprinkles...

thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)

I've had a discussion with my bank manager and I think she see's the need for me to buy this new creation, so funds will be available. lol 8) Over the past year I've spent so much money on Poser I was going to give it a rest but after seeing your new model neftis I'm gonna have to spend some more. 8) Catlin

Excellent job, Neftis :) Is this the original head that from before Elle became Neftoon girl?

Treewarden ( ) posted Wed, 10 March 2004 at 6:20 PM

Hi Neftis! Don't let the peeps drag u down! I loved the original peeks and any figure that has the potential to blow Vicky out of the water I'm all for seeing (and buying, hee hee). I'm off to Polymage to see what's been happening! Personaly I see Carolly's point (all follow the rules but if the mods are going to move the posts anyway what gives?) With SR4 (a disaster that's put me clean out of posing for about three weeks) out I'm ready for some positive news! Your figure is going to be the most exciting creation yet! I'll be patiently waiting...
