Subject: So much talent

Marque ( ) posted Mon, 08 March 2004 at 3:31 AM · edited Wed, 24 July 2024 at 5:11 PM

Been around since Poser 1, just now getting to know a little bit about it. I was cruising through the different stores, free areas, and galleries tonight and I am amazed at the amount of talent out there. Poser has grown by leaps and bounds and so have we. I feel lucky to be a part of this community, and to be exposed to so much talent from folks all over the world. Marque

I also feel lucky to be around such great artists. You are right Marque. Sharen

I haven't been back here since last summer. I too first kicked off with poser 1. First thing I noticed were a lot of the same people helping others and/or just being part of this community, in no particular order: Lawndartlawndart Lesbentley Littledragon Samtherapy hauksdottir ghostofmacbeth SAMS3D And of course the wonderful tutorials still being posted by dr geep, with the lovely ernyoka getting first place today!!! And those are just the ones on the first page I looked at.

Yeah it's the same old guard answering a lot of the questions here :o) I guess it's those of us who has no life ;o) So we hang in here instead..

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

I started out over at RDNA at first, didn't like the attitude from many of the posters there and the scarcity of freebie posts. Found this place and have been in heaven since then. Visit RDNA occasionally because they have some great freebies now and the forum attitude has gotten better, but I'm happiest here.

I meant the whole community. Some may be more of a home than others, but I'm finding I learn everywhere. Marque

I agree Marque. Some sites are more friendly than others (They're all friendly but in various degrees ;o)) but they're all parts of the Poser Community and there are good people on all the sites, that each knows something unique :o)

I agree with Sharen, I also feel lucky to be around such great artists. I just wish that my computer re-storing process will end soon so I can start Posering once again. -- BonBonish

Don't get me wrong, I was knocking RDNA, I just feel like I've learned more here than anywhere else and there seems to be alot more resources and freebies here than anywhere else. There are a lot of great tutorials over there as well and I like the Poser 5 Forum over there for just P5 relate questions. Sorry, if I fave the wrong impression in my earlier comments, I see alot of the same names over here as over there and I thank them all every chance I get and try to give credit where do. This is the best site that I've been to so far in my internet travels, and I like to think of it as my "Poser Home".

Thanks for listing me in there .. I just try to return the favor for everyone that gave me help when I was starting or just helped with things I had never even thought of.

Wow, I'm honoured to be mentioned in such august company. I'm a relative newbie; I started with P4PP around 2 years ago or so. I've received a lot of help and advice along the way and I still need it from time to time. Marque is right to say the community as a whole is a good one. Generally supportive and inventive. Most people (hobbyist or pro) seem to genuinely enjoy using Poser and finding out how to coax the best out of it.
