Subject: Mapping Complex Figures Very Simply - Looking For Polka Dot Material?

I'd like to apply a Much larger check(And Polka Dot, if I could find one,) pattern(s) to this P5 import, but my guees is that much of this same mapping mayhem will accur. Any suggestions?

Probably.... did you try mapping in both Object and World mode ?

Would you care to elaborate on the differance between World and Object modes, maybe post a screenshot or two? I tried looking this up in the help file and failed.

Sorry for the delay... here is a screenshot of the Material editor. In the top right corner, you will find a menu for 'Mapping'. Usually 'World' mapping provides better results if what you want is a unified look to your texture. There are issues with textures with pattern however. It may not be possible to map these patterns without a complex UV mapping software such as Bodypaint or Deep Paint 3D.

Yep it was in World mode. I'm currenlty working on a post in the Carrara forum about .DXF format, and Boolean Union. Anyone know offhand if either of these would help. I really want to see all of the big squares across this figure!
