Good for you Jinx! Your photography skills have grown by leaps and bounds.... and they'll only keep getting better... the right equipment will surely help you along that path to greatness. :~)

Misha - :P Doody head .... I'm tellin'! 'chelle - Can you at least lock him in the closet or something? He's picking on me again! :) Fear - Sweet. I love my polarizer. The difference it can make in outdoor shots is really amazing. The part around the lens that attaches to a tripod is called a collar and most of your long zooms that would need one come with it, but that's not always true. Sometimes they make it an option (which I think is a crime, but oh well). They are specific to the lens. As for giving me competition, you gotta set your sights way higher than me. :) -=>Donald

I thought I'd let everyone know, Monday I went to a camera shop...bought a UV filter to protect my lens and a polizior like someone had suggested with my Colorado pictures (thank you). I'm also going to buy a 300 zoom lens...but that won't come till later...I'll also need a good tripod and some kind of special ring to hold the lens and not the camera part...I forgot what you call those. I have a Nikon N55 and I want to take pictures of sports or people...I want them to look as awesome as Donald's pictures (so now he might have some compitition. he he) Well, thanks. I just thought I'd share the happy news! Johannah
