Is there a tutorial to get better looking waves crashing onto rocks. Do I have to model splash drops if I wish to move closer to the rocks??. In this image I used a duplicate terrain, enlarged and a foamy water texture. I also had to remove the unwanted bits of the terrain. Have fun Neil

Neil, Nice picture. Wish I could help about the wave thing, but I don't know. I just wanted to say I like it in spite of it's flaws. Wish I could actually be helpful though. Cheers, Mike<<< Having fun

heyas; nice job, parkie! if you hit the archive link for this forum (up top/down bottom of messages) or search for 'making waves,' you can see i posted a pic of some experiements i was doing with making ocean waves on the beach. if you find that interesting, i can send you the scene file. (i should probably just post it for download.) it needs some work, i was hoping the people around here could help it out. :) guitta has a splash-making tutorial, and a nice stormy shoreline pic at http://start-at.arte/ (i think that's the url.) there are some nice tutorials there in english and french.
