Subject: question about props...

can someone tell me how i can make the figure hold a gun in his hand...i need this for an animation.. plz n thanks in advance

I assume you mean to move as your character moves in your animation. First, pose the figure holding the gun and then go to the properties window for the gun object and click on the "Set Parent" button. From the list that appears, select the right hand (or left if you've put the gun in that hand). That's it. When you move the figure's hand the gun will follow.

Easy if you are prepared to be patient. Start with your figure in the default position. Load in the gun. Move it until it's at the required hand, with the grip sitting correctly against the palm. Pose the fingers. Make any necessary corrections, tweaks and so forth until the hand looks natural. Parent the gun to the hand. That's about it. You can also save the gun back out as a Smart Prop, which will then load into the correct position next time you select it, and will be automatically parented to the hand.

Thank you for that last bit of info about saving it as a smart prop, SamTherapy! Will make some of my props easier to use.
