There is an IRC channel available for live chat about topics related to fractal based art..

Windows users who'd like to visit generally use either mIRC or PIRCH.
Linux users have a plethora of clients available. The IRC server to
point at is mudbug.org . Afterwards you can "/join #fractalart"
(without the quotes) and you're there. So far it's just been a few users
most of the time, but we've been visited by quite a number of people in the past few weeks.

With slow IRC Channels like this, it's sometimes best to leave a client
running in the room if you've got a fulltime connection to the
internet.

The take home message is we're there (but possibly idle), so come on by.

just updated server.ini and don't see mudbug server.

I found mudbug, (nice fractal art, by the way) but from there I got lost. Could you repeat those instructions in simple form...no wait. What I guess I need is more detail on how to find the chat place. LOL

As soon as I get my internet connection paid and reconnected I'll be dropping by to see the place. Just one question though. What about renderosity's chat rooms? Does anyone ever use those and where are they located?

Mudbug is a private server, you'll probably have to enter it manually. Quietriot, did you get an IRC program to connect with?

I looked into it last night and decided to pass. I'm on a slow dial up, and then realized that the odds of finding someone in there at six in the morning would be slim to none. One of these days I'll get on the fast track with the rest of the "inter-world."

I don't mind entering it manually, just didn't see the details on the site. I'll go look again.
