Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 05 2:05 am)
Ah, I think I see the problem, but not how to fix it. The magnet is attached to the abdomen of the shirt. If I twist the hip of the figure, all is well. If I twist the abdomen of the figure, all is well. If I twist the chest of the figure, the abdomen moves as well but the magnet does not and the shirt rips.
You can set your magnet to affect as many area's as you need to via the Properties menu of the magnet (not the zone or base). After that, you'll have to spawn morphs as magnets need to be set up a specific way (each body part must have it's own magnet of the same settings) if they are to be left on a character for posing use.
Load your figure and set all to 0 with joint editor. Then create all the magnets you need. You will get a better look if the magnets affect the body parts around the part you're working on. Then spawn morphs for those magnets, one at a time, and name them. Remember to set all morphs to 0 before to spawn a new one. Try to not move the figure till you are done, magnets dont like to bend... Good luck and sorry for my bad english

I have this problem a few times in Poser 4. I create a figure, add clothing, conform clothing. Now I need to modify the clothing so I add a magnet or two. Then I find that if I make body parts of the base figure bend or twist, the magnet doesn't move with the conforming garment, resulting in distortion. Sometimes I get this problem and other times not. What am I missing here?
