Subject: How can I add the Penis right to DAZ Michael 3.0?

markmeier ( ) posted Sun, 11 April 2004 at 4:05 AM · edited Sat, 20 July 2024 at 12:28 PM

Hi all :) Can someone explain me how I can add the Penis to Michael 3.0? If I push Michael to another place the Genitals not will follow him. What's wrong? many greetings Mark PS: Sorry for my bad English ;))

You have to conform the genitals just like a clothing object. Make sure the genitals are selected and go to Figure > Conform to Marque

Oh, that Mike. He'd forget his genitals if they weren't attached... ;-P bonni

First, you invite 20 people over. Then you tie on a blindfold. Somebody spins you a few times, and you walk toward where you think Mike is with the penis and a tack while the people in the room shout directions (and giggle themselves into hiccups). (I don't know where you are from, but we have a kid's game like this, where they "pin the tail on the donkey". I could not resist the analogy.) Carolly

Oh god! Doesn't all this conjure up some brilliant images!

V3 male, Millenium boys, Freak, why not have penis?

pdxjims ( ) posted Sun, 11 April 2004 at 8:12 AM

The V3 male was an afterthought by Daz, and they just didn't think one was needed with M3 coming out. The Freak is a variation of M3 and should be able to use the one that came with M3 (the V3 male can use it too). The Millenium Boys are considered underage, and in the U.S. there are a lot of people who view any nudity of a child to be pornography. For some strange reason, genitalia seems to scare a lot of people. THe powers that be would rather deliver an incomplete model that doesn't offend rather than an accurate one that some people would find "offensive". And it's not just here and now. Remember they painted over the genitalia in the Sistine Chapel because a naked penis was considered inappropriate in a house of god (forgetting that god made genitalia in the first place, and had a great laugh about it all). Of course, all of this reasoning is pretty silly. Everyone has genitalia. There are a number of male (and female) genital solutions. I have 4 or 5 different penis figures and props to use with male figures. There are morphs available for most all the female figures to make their genitals much more realistic. Note to Carolly: I was at that party. It was a LOT of fun.

Estruch ( ) posted Sun, 11 April 2004 at 9:13 AM

if God did not want that we had sex it had done us to all eunuchs. With respect to Millenium Boys it offends to me that they have turned to them castrated, poor children.

Only here could a serious conversation be held about how to keep ones penis attatched to ones body! Good to know though I haven't even used it yet :0

Hi :) Thank you for the Tip, it works fine now :) Now I have 2 more questions: (I hope you understand what i mean, with my poor English) 1. Is there a possibility to set a Poser-Figur to only "realistic" poses? I mean that I can for example rotate a arm only in real positions, and that i can't twist it like in the example picture below? I think this function is called "Inverse Cinematic" or similar. Who can help me? 2. If I try to render Michael with the "Mihai Hair" with the Firefly-Renderer then it takes a long time, and after 20 minutes or so Poser crashes. With the normal Poser4-renderer it works without problems, but the quality of Firefly is better, i think. What can i do? greetings Mark :)

pdxjims ( ) posted Sun, 11 April 2004 at 12:21 PM

Inverse Kinematics sets how body parts move in relation to each other. Setting them on for the legs make the feet stay still when you move the hip. Just under that, in the figure menu, is Use Limits. This limits the movement of the body parts to what Poser has determined to be "realistic". Poser's view on realistic can sometimes be more limited than what you want. The Miahi hair just doesn't work well with the Firefly engine. I think there was a fix mentioned in the forums somewhere. Do a search of the Poser Forum for "Mihai" and you should find it.

Also, when posing a figure, use the dials. it is much more accurate and successful than using the mouse. :)

To get the Mihai hair to work in Poser5, follow the instructions at this thread at PoserPros. You may need to register to see it, but registration is free. I can now render Mihai hair in Firefly after doing them.

M3 has a penis???

Casette ( ) posted Mon, 12 April 2004 at 1:05 AM

yeah, sandoppe... but the size isnt important ;)

hahahahahahahaha

Seriously now (difficult, hehe), I always thought since I used M3 for the first time that DAZ was complicating the matter. I can understand that is necessary to eliminate the digital penis in the renders due to the fact that its not deformed anatomical in the renders like in the real body, over all in the cloths. I remember my first tests of a Spiderman pic with M2, where "this part" was turning the image into something enough ... er ... obscene, if you were not making disappear in Genitalia option. But fix it apart like a conforming prop... Poor Mike, what dignity lost...

Here all we are adult. no?

hauksdottir ( ) posted Mon, 12 April 2004 at 4:03 AM

No, I suspect that Sandoppe just means Mike turned around. True confession time... When I first opened Poser, I got rid of the little dressed guy so that I could start from scratch and learn how to add clothes and such. I clicked on the Dork and he came on screen fully naked. Hmmm... find penis in the body parts list. Find x - rotation. Move dial. Yup. It goes up. :) Rotate Dork's body in space so that he is floating like a magician's assistant. Nope. It doesn't go down. :( Plenty of levity, but no gravity. I was soooo disappointed. Of course, there was more fun later when I put clothes on him and he wouldn't stay tucked in. Sitting there with the manual helped. However, the manual wasn't written with a punster in mind. There should have been a chapter called "playing with your new toy". (The program, not the model!) When I was a little girl and I brought a new doll, the first thing I always did was take its clothes off - not because I was a pervert but because I was bloody nosey! I once had a toy caveman - imagine my amazement when I lifted his loin cloth to find a beautifully molded willy!! I was eight at the time and believe me I made a fortune in sweets, showing my playground chums the doll in exchange for a choccy bar or polo mint. Oh happy days! Anyway, I am now grown up - but I confess that the first thing I did when I got Poser was to see if the man had a willy. And it worked as well!! So now you all know, Elgyfu is a sad pervert. But I must say that I have a few friends who got Poser 3 on magazine disks and had a play - and they all did the same! Men have willies - nothing odd about that. But why does Barbie not have any nipples???

hauksdottir ( ) posted Mon, 12 April 2004 at 8:17 AM

OK, I'll be good. ;^) Besides, the cat just came in and told me it is time to go to bed. (She wants the chair I'm sitting in.) At least you got a smile out of your workday, the pertinant questions got answered, my next Poser User's Party will be better attended, and the lurkers all know that women all have a healthy curiosity about working parts. millman ( ) posted Mon, 12 April 2004 at 11:08 PM

Carolly, sooner or later it reaches the stage that all men have left is fond memories. I'm at the stage where I think I had fond memories. Elgyfu, a better question, why does Barbie look like she's spent fifteen years on the rack and everything she ate went to her chest? (Runs and hides) ((Under my workbench, with the door closed, hoping nobody heard me.))
