ok..it hasnt..but omg! I am new to the poser program and I have no clue where to begin. Can I be directed as to where I can learn simple things, if there is such things for this program. I've sat in front of the monitor just staring at this program, then I tried to figure it out and I am at a loss...help!

The manual isn`t very well written, but it does tell you most of the basic stuff. When I first got poser (version 1 3 and 4) I read the manual a lot to find stuff out.

If you click on the banner at the top of this forum (the one that says Poser Forum) it will take you to a backroom. There you will find some excellent tutorials as well, as well as some of Dr Geeps tutorials.

Patience, young Padawan! Yes, the program is complex and looks overwhelmingdon't let that intimidate you. First tip: turn your mouse speed down. If you have a Wacom tablet and mouse, you can set up a custom behavior for Poser. Use the dials to move and pose body parts! Most values should be between 0 and 1. RTFM, and play with it as you do.

Hon, I started out with Poser 3. A friend gave me the disk because he'd upgraded to P4, unfortunately he'd lost the book for it. I did what you're doing now, stared at the program and just started clicking on things to see what they did. Just take it easy, play with it, and pretty soon you'll find you're addicted. Liz

Maria...don't give up hun. I have had a learning disability from birth which renders my comprehension the worst of all...and if I can learn enough, so can you! Print out some of the tutorials for Poser that you find, so it will be easier for you to follow along. hugs Helen

I started with P2. Now that you're in here, you've had it. Say goodbye to life as you knew it, relationships, family - say hello to addiction, an empty wallet/credit card/bank account. When I first got the program it sat in the box for 2 weeks while I tried to devour the manual...this only led to confusion when I finally intalled the program. The manual is only effective as referance -- not suited well to learning. Read the forums on various sites, seek out tutorials, ask questions....Play with the basic figures that come with the program b4 getting caught up in the packrat syndrome of downloading everything in sight. Actually, go ahead and d/l to your heart's content...just save all that stuff until you feel comfortable with the basic learning process.

I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN. I'VE HAD POSER 4 FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS. I PLAY WITH IT, AND PLAY WITH IT AND STILL HAVE A HARD TIME TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHY IT WON'T WORK THE WAY I WANTED. WHEN YOU LOOK AT SOME OF THE PHENOMINAL WORK THAT CAN BE DONE BY CHECKING OUT THE GALLERIES IT MAKES YOU WONDER "WHY CAN'T I"??? DON'T GIVE UP. BIT BY BIT IT COMES TOGETHER, CHECK OUT SOME OF THE TUTORIALS AVAILABLE HERE AT RENDEROSITY, AND AT THE LINKS MENTIONED ABOVE. UNFORTUNALY, I HAVEN'T STUCK TO IT ENOUGH TO GET PROFICIENT AT POSER, I ALWAYS FALL BACK TO BRYCE 5, AND WORK ON BACKGROUNDS FOR WHEN IF I CAN EVER FIGURE IT OUT, ALL FIGURES NEED SOMEWHERE TO LIVE, AND ALL SCENES NEED SOMEONE TO ENJOY THEM.
